  DVD "JW's Faith In Action, part 1 Out of Darkness" Omits! Omits! Omits!

  i've been watching the new dvd and it is a bull fest about russell.

  i haven't even gotten half way and they already excluded one very important bit of information.

  you'll recall that russell "lost" his faith and "turning away from church creeds and searching for truth, russell examined some leading oriental religions, only to find these unsatisfying".

  i had spent nearly forty years as a full time representative, serving at every level of the organizational structure.

  the last fifteen years i had spent at the international headquarters, and the final nine of those as a member of the worldwide governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  it was those final years that were the crucial period for me.

  do you know of anybody that saw something on a sign and did research and subsequently left the organization?.

We hold that all of the plaintiffs' claims, as alleged in the complaint, are barred by the ecclesiastical abstention doctrine. Accordingly, the amended complaint is dismissed.   after perusing through this article sent to us by our lurking jw friend- that's what i took away from this study article entitled " what jehovah's day will reveal " .

  this article was printed to keep jw's alert to the alleged urgency of the times - just in case some get puzzled by the new extended overlapping generation theory and lose their sense of urgency.

  i think the wt society is covering their backside here , doing possible damage control , and are very nervous about negative fallout in regards to how some jw's may respond to this extended " overlapping generation " theory being pushed.

  Are they above Jehovah?.. not to be questioned or ask to provide more evidence to prove what they are saying? What are they afraid of...us finding out the 'truth' or? This is really getting out of hand!

  Example of Jehovah being asked for more PROOF!

  • An interesting case in point is that of Judge Gideon. To be sure that Jehovah was going to be with him, Gideon proposed a test: “Here I am keeping a fleece of wool exposed on the threshing floor,” he said to Jehovah. “If dew comes to be on the fleece alone but on all the earth there is dryness, then I must know that you will save Israel by means of me.” When Jehovah caused it to happen just as requested, Gideon wanted more assurance: “Let, please, dryness occur to the fleece alone, and upon all the earth let there come to be dew.”—Judges 6:37-39.

  • Was Gideon being overly cautious or suspicious?Apparently not, because Jehovah accepted his request both times and did just as he asked. Gideon wanted to make certain of the rightness of his position. Not having God’s written Word as we do, that was a most effective way for Gideon to “make sure.” However, once he received the assurance, he gave strict obedience to the orders from Jehovah even though pitting 300 men against an enemy force of 135,000 would seem suicidal from a human point of view. (Judges 7:7; 8:10) Do we show the same attitude by searching in the Word of God for what Jehovah’s will really is and then sticking to it?

  Below is from: g91 10/8, 12-13. We are admonished to examine what is being expressed to us...this means everything especially such important matters as this. Shame on them for trying to stifel our ability to reason and confirm what is being said.

  The Bible's Viewpoint Why Study the Bible?

  • In addition, did you notice what made the Beroeans more noble-minded in character? They eagerly examined the Scriptures. Professor Archibald Thomas Robertson, commenting on those words in Word Pictures in the New Testament, wrote: “Paul expounded the Scriptures daily as in Thessalonica, but the Beroeans, instead of resenting his new interpretation, examined (anakrino means to sift up and down, make careful and exact research as in legal processes . . . )the Scriptures for themselves.” Their examination was not superficial. Those Beroean Jews probed carefully for confirmation that what Paul and Silas were teaching from the Scriptures about Jesus as the long-promised Messiah was true.

  • Therefore, following the example of the ancient Beroeans, it is important that we not only read God’s Word but also study it—“carefully examining the Scriptures”—so as to get the meaning of what is said. In this way we can deepen our appreciation for the Bible, and we too become, like Timothy, persons able to ‘save both ourselves and those who listen to us.’ Why? Because, in addition to reading the Scriptures, we have studied them so as to act obediently on what we have learned.—Proverbs 3:1-6.

  Well that is about as close to the "truth" as you can come... All we have to do is want to know what is truth and what is not. Perhaps we say in because we like the thought of living in a peaceful world where life will not end and hope it's true. That's how we allow ourselves to be controlled.

  Is Jehovah Telling the Governing Body to Shut Down?

  is the governing body haunted by the thought that jehovah is telling them no and shut down?.

  rutherford is reported to have sought cash and rationed coal as a test of jehovah's will.

  knorr reported on getting an unexpected windfall of cash when they sought to buy the towers hotel.. but from where i sit, jehovah seems to have become very ungenerous towards these would-be theocrats, in recent years.. they dumped subscriptions.. they cut literature.. they went to paperbacks.. they cut magazines, by my count, for the third time.. they laid off bethelites.. they sold off brooklyn buildings.. they sold off printing/binding equipment.. so, now their latest 'litmus test' of jehovah's will is to simply dump the magazines in one lump and tell people to only take what they need.

  If the thought is Jehovah has not been directing them through out the history of the org, what makes you think he is going to start communicating with the BG at this time? A review of history shows that their direction has been just guessing as to what the bible says.
