Letter from an anointed reader who DA'd after 33 years
by Dogpatch indear randy, early this year i requested disassociation from the org and have been meaning to publish some sort of statement.
i was a member for over 33 years and partook of the emblems.
being an older widow it took some deliberation and guts to make the move but am currently very happy with the change.

Who does the H. Spirit indwell according to the Watchtower?
by james46888 ini've spoken with a number of jw's in the past who have told me that they believe the h. spirit only indwells the 144,000 (obviously contradicted by romans 8:8-9).
however, the jw i am presently trying to convert caught me a little off guard by telling me he was unaware of this doctrine (he's been a jw for 40-years) and that he understood it to be that all believers are indwelt by the h. spirit.
is he simply misinformed about his own organisations teachings here?

Exactly - the great crowd has not been freed from sin that is why they have to continue to prove their faith, work hard, pray, study, be obedient to the slave and then . . . maybe . . . they can make it through the big A. Then after that they are still not free until after the 1,000 years when those that made it without sinning get proclaimed as sons of God. However, if those sons of God choose to sin - they are destroyed! So no immortality for the other sheep - only the anointed who are declared righteous as sons of God. They are declared righteous by HS NOW.
It's all twisting of scripture and man made elitist bs.

There is no doubt that this organization causes repression, suppression, depression, etc. If someone has cancer, severe hemorrhoids or any other physical problem do they accept anyone telling them to pray more, study more, do more for the truth? Or do they go to the appropriate doctor to get it looked at? How is the brain - which the last time I checked was a part of the body, any different? If you have a problem with depression or what have you then you go see a psychologist, therapist, etc. and get help. How utterly ridiculous to label someone as demonized or spiritually sick when they have those issues. They are being told that they caused their problem and better do more for an organization and they will get better or they are told to wait till the new system!
It's no wonder people are so mentally and emotionally distressed. How sad that it comes to people hurting others because no one bothered to help them in the proper way. How loving.

Netherlands Memorial Attendance 2009/2010

this year (2010) 43.372 persons attended the memorial, 100 persons took of the symbols.. the 2009 attendance figure was 51.578.. this means that 8.206 went missing in one single year, a plunge of 16%.. i get the impression that the partakes figure is going up as they now avoid the term "annointed".. .

Ah tricky, tricky! Their use of wording: Took of the symbols vs. anointed! In other words the number partaking indicates that there are MORE and MORE people who believe they are anointed when there should be less. Thus some of those who partake are not really anointed they are just delusional. Thanks for the info!

Hi James: You could ask him if he partakes of the emblems. ONLY those who are part of Christ's body (144,000) partake. The rest of us DENY the body of Christ.
I understand where he is coming from because like I said - the way they word certain things is very deceptive and people think they are following scripture but they are following the WTS interpretation of scripture. They say that Christ is the mediator for the 144,000 only - not the great crowd. Another deception - yet most witnesses think that Christ is their mediator.

WT 2008 6/15 pg 12:
6:3-5—What is meant by baptismin to Christ Jesus and baptismin to his death? When Jehovah anoints followers of Christ with the holy spirit, they are united with Jesus and become members of the congregation that is the body of Christ, he being the Head. (1 Cor. 12:12, 13, 27; Col. 1:18) This is their baptism into Christ Jesus. Anointed Christians are also “baptized into [Christ’s] death” in that they live a life of sacrifice and renounce any hope of everlasting life on earth. Their death, therefore, is a sacrificial one, as was Jesus’ death, though their death does not have ransoming value. This baptism into Christ’s death is completed when they die and are resurrected to life in heaven.

6 The willing support given to anointed Christians by their companions of the other sheep was foretold by the prophet Isaiah. He wrote: “This is what Jehovah has said: ‘The unpaid laborers of Egypt and the merchants of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, tall men, will themselves come over even to you, and yours they will become. Behind you they will walk.’” (Isa. 45:14) In a symbolic way, Christians with an earthly hope today walk behind the anointed slave class and its Governing Body, following their leadership. As “unpaid laborers,” the other sheep willingly and wholeheartedly expend their strength and their resources in support of the worldwide preaching work that Christ assigned to his anointed followers on earth.—Acts 1:8; Rev. 12:17.
I added this last quote to show you that they go against scripture when it says “do not be calling anyone your leader” and to show that the great crowd is in NO WAY considered part of Christ’s body – we are in essence told to worship the FD&S as Christ’s body on earth. They are sickeningly deceptive.

I would highly recommend you to research all of the quotes from the Trinity brochure - find them in the full context and compare them to the brochure. This is not in an effort to convince you of the trinity because I myself don't know the answer to that. However, it will show you the deception of the WTS in misleading through quotes.
I was in utter shock when i did this. Shock and rage that they lied so blatantly.

The March 15, 2010 study edition has some points about HS, but I'm not sure this is the one I was thinking about. I will have a look around tomorrow. Here are a couple quotes:
Baptized in the Name of Who and What?
Pg 14/par 16: Similarly, one who is baptized in the name of the holy spirit recognizes that the holy spirit is not a person, but Jehovah's active force. And such baptism means that one acknowledges the role the holy spirit plays in God's purpose.
Par 18: Our having been baptized in the name of the holy spirit involves recognizing its role in our life and gratefully cooperating with that spirit.
Walk By Spirit and Live Up To Your Dedication - Starting at pg 14
Par 2: However, is there any difference between being baptized with holy spirit and being baptized in the name of the holy spirit? Yes. Those who are baptized with holy spirit are born again as spirit-begotten sons of God. They are anointed . . . part of the spiritual body of Christ.
Par 10: Walking by spirit includes responding to the invitation we read at Rev 22:17 "The spirit and the bride keep on saying: 'Come!' And let anyone . . ." The spirit, working through the anointed bride class, is extending this invitation regarding life's water.
Par 12: Jehovah guides the anointed by holy spirit. And the spirit motivates brothers and sisters . . .
Par 13: You can submit to the direction of holy spirit by applying the information provided for God's people.
Par 17: Through God's Word and his spirit-directed organization, holy spirit will move you in the right direction.
The way they write is so deceptive. When does anyone get baptized in the name of the holy spirit? The questions changed in 1985 from baptism in holy spirit to recognizing that we belong to God's spirit directed organization.
So the other sheep are NOT baptized WITH holy spirit they are baptized IN THE NAME of the holy spirit (which is false anyways!). In other words: We walk by it, we submit to it, we acknowledge its role, we gratefully cooperate with it, we respond to it, we are moved by it but we don’t have it IN US and because we are not baptized WITH it.
