Hi jgnat, I've always asked those questions, every painting the WTBTS portrays shows a nice house in the country side, orchards, lions etc. Right? Okay lets break it down and this is what I asked when I was like 10 years old or thereabouts...

Who milled all that lumber? Who made the large saw blades to run the saws? How is power being generated to run these machines? Did they deliver all that building material by horse? What about all the water needed to keep a large orchard alive? Who's making the pipes to feed the water system?

That's just the basics....

If you believe the bible and God's purpose to fill the earth and subdue it, well, then WTBTS needs to rethink their portrayals. Because that doesn't sound very subduing.

Oh and they say there is enough land so that everyone can have an acre? How are we going to survey the land and keep records? Paper? Who makes the paper? Computers? See where I'm going with this? LOL!

Some things just don't add up do they nicolaou? There have always been nagging doubts and thinking questions I would ask growing up and all I ever got was, we don't know yet, but the "new scrolls" that will be opened in the new system will tell us. Yeah, right.

what if we are wrong in saying that the wts and jws are not handling sexual abuse cases properly?.

1. They are wrong. Means I will live my life in peace knowing I don't bow to their hypocritical laws.

2. I don't see how I or anyone else could be wrong about them that know the truth about the truth. I am perfectly fine in dying with no remorse of my current beliefs.

3. It would mean that there is a god that cares, especially after all the abuse I went through being raised by an emotionally disturbed mother and her husband (not my biological father.

Do you miss the sense of security the organisation gives you?

i am sure most of you miss the sense of security regarding the future that the organisation offers- the certainty of everlasting life in the paradise earth, being healed and the confidence that you will definitely see your loved ones again if you remained faithful.

but why did you pursue a course of life that had suddenly turned everything into a fable?.

The organization never gave me a sense of security. Ever. I am secure with my life now and have so much freedom and a clear conscience.

What the hell was I thinking?! Stupid me!!

so my husband and i have a son who will be 2 years old next month and i really wanted him to be socialized more.

ever since we stopped going to meetings, we have been pretty much shunned even though there has never been an "official" reason for it (df, da..).

i am terribly introverted, so it's difficult for me to get out there and talk to people but our son is a people-person and i wanted him to have more peers to be around.

Yes, what were you thinking?! Just kidding, you were thinking of your son and meant well, no harm done, and it was a learning experience used to your benefit. Right?

My GF takes her 2 year old daughter to the public pool and they also have a play area on the facility grounds for her to socialize with normal healthy children, not those pesky cult kids. Maybe there is a place similar around you to do that? Or a park that have a lot of kids?

Might be a great place to meet other parents and build up your friend base, even if it's just at the park. Socializing for you is healthy too.

I see nothing wrong with still being angry at the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, they are a corporation, they as a whole should be brought to justice for the policies that they do not have to protect its members and children.

I am not angry at the individuals, or as the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society says, it's rank and file members.

on jwtalk.net, the jw apologists are all over the conti case, about how "dumb" the jury was, how it is certain to be overturned on appeal, how jehovah will vindicate his name, blah blah blah.. meanwhile, on another thread about the sandusky verdict, you will find these comments:.

so sad that it took all this time and ruined those young boys lives.

but what about the school officials, didn't they have a responsibility to report this to the authorities??.

I've heard so many attack the RCC or any other organization openly and vehemently, yet when it's a case against the WTBTS, they're eyes glaze over and they parrot some company line about how they're under attack by Satan.
