New Information On Blood?
by EmptyInside ini've overheard from a couple of elders, that they are going to be getting some new information on the blood issue.
now,i understand in the witness world, this could all be much ado about nothing.
but, does anyone know what this info could be?.

Or maybe the main 4 components? If they allow the main 4 components, they might as well let us take whole blood and move this whole blood issue over to a conscience matter.
That would still be several years down the road. Besides, hospitals today very rarely transfuse 'whole blood'----most of the time it's the red cells that are transfused. I have long felt that if and when there is another change on the blood doctrine, the next step will be to allow plasma or pack red cells as a 'conscience matter'. They would simply state something like this in the Craptower:
"...The law that Jehovah gave the Nation of Israel against eating the blood of a slaughtered animal, was referring to whole blood as it represented the whole life of the animal. How does that correlate to blood transfusions today? Due to medical technology, many patients do not require the transfusing of whole blood, merely components or fractions of it. How should this be viewed by mature Christians today? It may be argued that whole blood was what Jehovah prohibited and therefore, accepting components, such as plasma or packed red cells is not the same thing. Each Christian must weigh carefully their decision in this matter."
Should be interesting to see if anything actually happens. The blood doctrine has changed a few times since it was put in place. 30 years ago, you couldn't accept 'fractions' but now you can. Hopefully, they're moving in the right direction.

CO visit last Tuesday- Platform announcement
by DeeDubs inwe had the co visit in the cong last week.
he reread the pioneer letter for april at the end of the meeting on tuesday, he basically stated he was looking especially forward to every elders and ms and their families application, and it would be nice to see out of the 150 publishers with the elders and ms and their families "taking the lead" if we could break 100 aux pioneers that month.
you could hear a pin drop...it was a bit strong to say the least.

LMAO@ Outlaw's picture!
Blondie said: I can remember the pre-1975 days hearing this from the CO. There were more regular and vacation pioneers then even in the days of 100 hours/month. The congregations would compete with each other to see who had the most and boast that all the servants had signed up.
Ya, but the world was coming to an end back then. His Majesty Freddie Franz said so (when was it supposed to happen? Wasn't it October 15, 1975?) Since so many Witnesses believed that the jobs they had were going to be history within a few years (along with their Visa bills and mortgages), they were running on a wave of spiritual hysteria that had not been experienced before or since. I guess when November of '75 came knocking, we were all supposed to "thank the Lord---even for the mistake".
Times have certainly changed though. Since they have no specific date (other than "soon") and since the generation of 1914 is basically dead and buried, with the pressures of trying to keep a roof over your family's head and providing them the basics of life (no easy feat for the vast majority of Dubs who have no education beyond high school), then the average Witness does not have that 'sense of urgency' that the goons at the top are still trying to prop up like a dead horse. They know from seeing what's happened to their own parents and grandparents that it's maybe not such a good idea to live your life as though The End will come in your life-time and the overwhelming number will just ignore this dumb-assed suggestion that they all "pioneer". Ya. Easy to say when you don't even hold a real frigging job.
What a bunch of wankers!!!

brotherdan asked: Mary, you think "Spade" is "Alice"?
Yep. "Spade" is really Alice.in.Wonderland reincarnated. She invented a totally ficticious male character, pretended that he had never been a Dub, but was only married to one and had no real interest in JWs as a whole. She did this because she figured no one would be able to figure out who "Spade" really is. "Spade" made a horrific comment about my brother in law dying (which I asked Lady Lee to delete) and started attacking me, which I found bizarre, since "Spade" had only been on the board for a couple of weeks and I had not had any interaction with this person at all. You can only keep up a facade for so long though, and pretty soon, the "I-ve-never-been-a-Witness-and-have-no-real-interest-in-them "Spade" because defending a religion he supposedly had never been a part of or cared about. Then the cut-and-pastes from the WT's literature started. When a few of us put two and two together and stated on the board that we were pretty sure that "Spade" was really AIW, this was not denied by "Spade" who only could mumble something about who they are isn't any of our business and proceeded to tell me that I had made some previous comments that they had not appreciated.
The lies, the language, the cut and pastes, the refusal to actually be able to defend against the overwhelming proof that the WTS is indeed a false prophet (amongst other topics), and the continual 'coming back for more' all mirrors the poster we all knew as Alice.in.Wonderland.
I see that uh, "Spade" has no rebuttal for Terry's post. Or anyone else's either, except to post another cut-and-paste.

Some may hesitate to get baptized out of fear that they may be disfellowshipped at a later time. Do you have this fear? If so, such fear is not necessarily unhealthy in itself.
Ya. I will venture a guess that many upbaptized youths have witnessed first hand experience of how disfellowshipping people destroys families and life-long friendships that will probably never be repaired. Perhaps their father or maybe an older brother or sister decided this wasn't the life for them and left the Borganization and home and promptly got The Axe. Now this youth is no longer allowed to associate with or even talk to someone they loved. You think that isn't fodder enough to make a young one not want to get dunked and possibly face the same fate down the road?
This article shouldn't come as a surprise though. With less than 40% of the youth actually staying, they're desperate to get those numbers up and what better way to do that than to promote guilt and shame.

How many lands are they not in at all? Matt 24 says GN will be preached "in all the inhabited earth and then....."
Wobble, I asked one of the elders who came around a couple of years ago to invite me to the Memorial that very same question when he tried claiming that they've 'covered the earth with their preaching'. I said: 'What about China? What about Saudi Arabia? How many Witnesses preach in India or Iran or Iraq?' That didn't go over very well. LOL!
Those figures are pretty dismal that's for sure, especially in light of the billions of hours that are spent at the coffee shop preaching every week.

So, I wonder how expansive "notorious wrongdoing" is?
I will venture a guess that it includes anything that suggests a "brazen attitude".
So to take stock: Brother Fader lives in Atlanta, Georgia, who has not attended meetings for over a decade, moves to Walla Walla Washington. The congregation in Atlanta finds out (through grilling Brother Fader's JW family), where he's moved to and promptly forwards his records to the local gestapo in Washington. Presumably they would 'introduce' Brother Fader as a total slacker who hasn't gone to meetings for over a decade. I can just see the PO in Washington getting a sealed envelope with a taped message that says:
Good Morning Brother [PO]. The man you are looking at
is Brother Fader of the Atlanta congregation. He has not attended meetings for over 10 years and there is evidence to suggest that he visits an internet site known as JWN.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to stake out Brother Fader to see if he has any female guests stay over night at his place, or if he puts up a Christmas tree this year. Pictures capturing the pagan decorations would seal Brother Fader's fate and would generate swift punishment in the form of a Judicial Committee.
As always, should you or any of your zealots be caught or killed, the Watchtower Society will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
