  Prostituting herself for the "truth"

  my mother in law went back into the maw after disassociating herself in 99. her elder husband had left her, and her kids and her grandkids wouldnt speak to her and it got to be too much.

  i heard yesterday that she went back and he is moving back in.

  and this just after she was here in june saying how she didnt believe in any of it, but tried to "force herself" and "convince herself" it was the "trooth" last spring so that her husband would come back, then came to her senses.

  I absolutely cannot understand how any family member can totally cut someone off like that - it's disgusting.
  My brother DA'd himself years ago when I was still a good little dub, and I never, ever shunned him. I treated him the way I always had and so did my parents. Although we never discussed it, I think we all felt like "screw them, no one's going to tell me I can't speak to my own flesh and blood."

  Amazingly, we never got in trouble for it either.

  Lovedubs, I'd really like to know what SCRIPTURAL grounds your father-in-law had for leaving his wife. Unless she committed adultery, he had no scriptural grounds and he should have been PR'd for not "following orders."

  I still believe in Satan and his demons..........and yes, I think they're responsible for alot of the evil going on in the world. I'm also more open now though, to the idea that there may be something in us that survives death. This could account for alot of hauntings that seem to go on in the world.

  Witnesses are in the minority when it comes to belief in a life after death and demons. Virtually ever other religion on earth teaches that there IS a life after death.

  "......the one featuring David Hyde-Pierce as Sideshow Bob's brother, Cecil. The banter was so totally familiar to their Niles and Frasier characters, it was just hilarious....."

  So true. Especially after they're hauled off to prison and their slap-fighting over to gets the top bunk:

  Sideshow Bob: "I'm older!"
  Cecil: "Poppycock! I called it at the arraingment!!..........................So! What time to they bring us the menus?"

  Or another good one was when they legalized gambling and Marg gets addicted. Lisa goes into Homers bedroom in the middle of the night after having a bad dream and says "well, I know it's sounds silly, but I just had a bad dream about the boogey-man and--------"

  Homer: AAAAAAAAAAHH!!!! BOOG-IE MAN!!!...............(runs down to Bart's room)......Bart! Wake up! I don't wanna upset you, but there may be a boogeyman or boogeymen in the house!!!!

  Bart: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!

  Then Marge comes home to find the front door blasted out and the entire family huddled behind a mattress as Homer shakily aims his rifle.

  Marge: "What on earth happened here?!"
  Homer: "Oh nothing Marge! Just a little incident involving the BOOGIE-MAN!!"

  I like the one when the Unitarians (I think it was them) roll into town and brainwash everyone except Marg, Reverend Lovejoy, Ned Flanders and Groundskeeper Willy. They grab Homer into the back of a limo and Reverend Lovejoy wacks Homer on the head with a baseball bat, but nothing happens so he moans "ooooh, the devil has given him super-human strength!"

  Then Willy goes "ah, gimme that, ya noodle-armed choir boy!" and beats Home-boy over the head again with the baseball bat.

  Anyhoo, it was only when that sweet, sweet beer hit Homer's tongue that he realized that he'd been brainwashed.........

  Now why would I be able to identify so well with that episode??!!!!

  But the very best, number one line in the show is when Reverend Lovejoy says to Ned Flanders "have you ever considered one of the other religions Ned? They're pretty much all the same." I laugh my ass off every time I see that one.

  Increase in Publishers for Canada

  just heard today from my parents that a member of the canadian bethel said that there is a 1% increase in publishers from last year.

  they made such a big deal of it but when you consider that this increase is mostly from jdub's that have been raised in it and are now starting to publish it is not such a big deal.

  i was also told that they mentioned about the dangers of the internet and also about all the lawsuites that the "apostates" are bringing against the organization.

  Wow! A whole one percent increase!!! This after how many years of ZERO percent increase??? When you take in to account the number of those baptized each year in Canada, if you have a zero percent increase, then that would mean as many people left as came in.

  Not a pretty picture from Brooklyn's point of view..........

  Can psychic energy heal?

  recently i was watching a documentary on this woman who claimed that she could heal people with the power of her mind.

  the documentary went into interviewing people about their experiences, and many of them actually had medical signs of improvement that could be documented and shown.

  while watching this, i was seeing it as a example of psychic energy healing someone?

  Realist, just because something can't be proven scientifically, doesn't mean it's not real or doesn't cure people. ;There are many, many documented cases of people who have been healed from various diseases because they changed their lives: they ate simple, nourishing food, they exercised, meditated and were very self-disciplined.

  While science is a great thing, it most certainly doesn't have all the answers and things like meditation and the power of the mind cannot simply be dismissed as quackery.

  according to wt rules ted jaracz should be removed from all appointed duties if an accusation of "rape and molestation" is brought against him.. it should be demanded of him!.

  since the organization has so many rules, did you ever just want to break a rule, just to do it?

  one rule that i enjoyed breaking was the 15 to 20 minute rule that you were supposed to come to the meeting early.
