Loved your story, G. I have always been casual about it and one day I said "later for this ish".

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses Feel Like They Have To Label You?
by Pitchess Co-Gen inok here's a little story on my background i was baptized in 2003, and i was a model witness for 2003-2006. then i had sex and was at first put private reprove (2006) and i made a another boo-boo in 2007 ( public reprove ) .
i was then given a bad name and thats when i started to get ''troubled'' label and a bad name around the circuit.
i labeled as "party boy" and ''sex hound'' ( which i was lol.

It's because they have nothing better to do with their time. They can only succeed if you let them. I could give a rat's ass what they think. Never have and never will. I know that I'm a "Bitch", so now what? I was never the follow the leader type so my world was most important to me. I don't know why people let these "lablelers" steal their joy.

Are most JW's window washers?
by SlipnSlide ini have read this on this site and know some that do this type of work.
if most jw's are window washers, what other occupations are considered the type of jobs that a witless would have.

I asked the above question and it goes way over ----------->there. A non Witness asked me that question and I wanted to know what others thought. This thread was not about race cuz "I'm Black" myself. It was not an elitist question, either. MLE, you got offended by the ? and I could say the same thing when you started when you keep referring this as "the apostate community" or how judgemental "the apostate community is". Would you be including yourself cuz you post on the regular. I have biases, but I don't think always "like black people". I treat everyone the same. If I don't like you, I just don't. I found this site out by researching. I am a realist and quite an independent thinker and that alone is what the Society won't approve of. To want answers to questions that you feel that are important does not make one an apostate. That is what God gave us brains for. And if you choose not to use it and let the Society make decisions for you makes you foolish. Now my tone is not harsh, yet. So lets agree to disagree respecfully.
Off my soapbox for tonight. Everyone have a peaceful night!

Does your Cat want to sit on your Lap while you are on the Toilet .....?
by flipper ini don't know what it is ...... but it's becoming disconcerting.
he's going to just have to sit outside the door and wait.
i know it will be dissappointing to him , as he purrs like crazy while gathering in the experience.

I have two cats. The older cat seems to follow me everywhere, especially in the bathroom. If she hears me "doin my bizness", she comes running. She has jumped in my lap while on toilet duty once or twice. She really seems to be facinated with the bath tub. She loves to jump in it and stare at me with her huge black eyes. When I finish and flush the toilet, she knows that I'm finished.

My fading is going well because "I" shun them. I only stay in contact with one person from my hall. I am finally at the point of not giving a damn about what anyone of them think.

Happyexjw,
I'm so sorry for your loss. You will be in my prayers. I did not experience ill treatment by JWs when my mother died 12 years ago. As a strong and independent female they just did not try me. I did have some sisters that tried to take over my own house and tell ME what to do. For the most part, they were helpful. That may not happen today, because I don't attend meetings anymore. The JWs that I've come in contact with have been self righteous, judgemental hyprocrates. You will experience grief for awhile and it has not been easy for me after all these years. Don't let them intimidate you. They can't have control over you unless you give it to them. My mother died as a faithfull witness and pioneer. She never made judgments with her children. She never shunned us and let us make our own way in life. You have to remember that being in the Borg is all that most of them know. They are not the most "intelligent" people. If it was me, I would tell your aunt and uncle to kiss my a____ while I take a s____.

Why Do You Come Here?
by minimus ini like this place.
i like the mix of posters.
i think it's a helpful site and most informative..

I come here because I like it. The experiences that most people on this forum are very similar to my own. I like communicating with people who are able to use our brains to reason with. It most certainly has lifted the depression that I have felt as a JW.

I have always hated when brothers added in opening prayers "Jehovah, blah, blah, in your care and keeping". My recently disfellowshipped brother-in-law used this in EVERY prayer.
