Our American Flag
by Vienna indoesn't it feel good to not be a jw at this point in history?
through the fear of the last few days, i do have comfort from scripture about my eternal salvation through jesus (as a witness you never felt secure with god--don't miss a meeting or field service for long or you're out), but also because my husband and i can display our american flag on our cars and in front of our house to support our country!.
as americans, we will not stand for terrorism and i'm proud to be in this country.

Poor Frightmare--doesn't know anything about patriotism.
I have my flag out on the flagpole on the front lawn. It is a small gesture but it makes a statement. Most Americans are proud of this country and rightly so. This is the land of freedom. We are so free that people like Frightmare are allowed to make assinine statements without fear of retribution. Of course we could offer to send such folks on an all expense paid trip to Afghanistan, Iraq or Pakistan and then see how they feel about America and flying her colors.

The thing I think is most preposterous is this: There is plague, pestilance, famine and war in the world. Daily children are beaten, raped and killed. The horrors that exist in this world to day are unspeakable. Here we have Shelby who claims God is speaking to her and directing her on what to write in her posts (and a few who support her). How Narcissistic is that???? God would talk to Shelby instead of dealing with some of the earthly horrors His Children are subjected to?????

The bombing of Japan and the attack on America are both horrible. At least the bombing stopped the war. The attack we just suffered is provoking one.
We miss here the most important detail yet to come. It is likely that Afghanastan is going to be the target as they are unlikely to hand over bin Ladin. Those maniac fundies (a.k.a. the Taliban) have already subjected those poor people to unspeakable miseries and it is likely that those same folks who will suffer for this cowardly attack as well.
One question: Where is your God now?
