i am in the fowlest of moods.
last week i started cosmetology school ( i love it so much ), anyhow who did i see there but another sister from my kingdom hall.
Thanks for your replys , everyone. Being shunned is still new to me and I'm surprised at how bad the sting is.
Mad Apostate, yesterday I brought Crisis of Concience to work with me as well as some copies about shunning to give to another student whose fiance studies with witnesses. She took the book and had it lying out in the open all during class.
While doing manicures, I answered her questions about shunning and odd beliefs that JW's have. EVERYONE got a witness. I agree with you all that I should kill her with kindness . Its difficult to do.
Her expressions, on her face, are as if I were total trash. I would really love to get right in her face and tell her that I did nothing to be ashamed of and that she can wrinkle up her nose all she wants and that the feeling is mutual. For now I'll be nice. I also once had that same mind set.

I would LOVE it if elders came to give me a sheperding call !!!! My last meeting with the elders (to discuss my DA letter) was Sooooo enjoyable that I'd like to bring up other subjects that we didn't have time for before. It will never happen so its just wishful thinking.
Do elders make sheparding calls on vocal apostates ???

that sick child molesting bastard is in jail now as we speak.. his sentencing is set for september 24th i think.. one down many more to go.. thanks to all who have supported this cause.. sheila
Thanks to Silent Lambs for posting the update on Erica. I have been away from my computer and I wondered what the out come was. I believe that awhile back it was mentioned that at another court hearing Erica didn't have many people sitting in the coutroom to support her. Did she have more support this time ? I'm so glad that he was found guilty.

That all depends on the day, the hour and sometimes the minute. I never doubted in my entire life that God existed even before I became a JW. It wasn't until I realized that I had been brainwashed that I started to really wonder. I think there is a God. I think the bible is inspired. I doubt I will ever again have that rock solid faith. I completely believed once before and I was wrong. Whatever I choose to believe in the future , I've decided not to invest so much of myself into. Its not worth it.

not too long ago, while i was still under the wt spell i also would have similarily spoken abusively of ray.
I'm not sure if Raymond Franz ever looks at posts here but if he does and your reading this Mr. Franz, I too would like to thank you for having courage and speaking out. Your book has helped so many who in return have helped others.
I am so glad that I got myself and my kids out of that cult. I truly regret the day that I ever trusted and studied with the JW's. We missed out on so much but I'm also deeply grateful that I can now enjoy life and be free of guilt and fear.
When I was a witness , I never really understood why it was so dangerous to read apostate literature. I thought surely the org could easily defend ANY accusations brought against it. It wasn't until I visited the web and read crisis of conscience that I really understood why the book was forbidden. They can't defend themselves. Crisis of Conscience shatters the org.
