the book study for this week in chapter 25 para 24 it reads, "what a shock for those persecuted.

the corpses of the two witnesses were suddenly alive and active again.

it was a bitter pill to swallow for those clergymen to swallow the more so since the christian ministers whom they had schemed to put in prison were free again, later to be fully exonerated.

anti-jw leaflet?

couldn't we make our own leaflets outlining the basic flaws and dangers in the jw faith?

something simple and to the point?

to give to people who we thought were at risk of being taken in, for me the cruelty of disfelowshiping and how it brakes up families was something i didn't really know the extent of at the beginning.

book study this week in one particular paragraph seems say that christendom lost a large part of their adherents.

does anyone out there have any statistical data to show losses gains by religons from the years 1914-1930 say???

would like to have their to contemplate answer for paragraph at the study.

our earth is approx 4.5 billions years old our galaxy and universe approx 15 billion years old the life span of the universe is approx 1 trillion years and yet if we are lucky we will live 70-80 years not even an eye bat in the river of time...as an atheist i really don't know what is on the other side of death but something deep inside me tells me this is not it...what is beyond it i don't know.

are we here by chance, design or divine purpose and if so what is that purpose to live for such a short time just to die and transverse into another reality...makes you wonder...makes me wonder...

i'm so confused..my daughter has two teenage children, they are a girl just turned 16 and a boy 17... when i was at her house watching tv with them..they made the kids cover their eyes when sex scenes came on.

now she just told me they both seperately went with friends to see the last "saw" movie.... since when is sawing someone up ok to watch but not sex?.

snoozy..a confused grandma...who isn't aloud to voice her opinion....

Must JWs Confirm They're JWs?

i was just wondering.

is there some sort of doctrine, or belief, principle, rule or whatever, that says that jehovah's witnesses, when asked, must confirm that they're jehovah's witnesses?

(one possible basis for such a rule, that comes to mind, is the bit about peter denying jesus three times before the cock crowed.).
