Describe yourself for a date....................(no crazy chicks)
by vitty in.
this got me thinking when i read ballistics topic about his internet dating.. now since i havent dated anyone for 28 years, i know its unbelieveable, cos im so young, but being married to the fella i met when i was sweet 16, i would really hate to start dating again .
anyway my question:: how would you describe yourself in a column of a newspaper or on the internet if you were looking for a date.

Who is the character you dislike the most.........
by vitty in...................if you believe the bible or not???????
in defd thread i couldnt think of one i liked except jesus, but loads that i disliked...eg king david, cos he got away with murder, literally, besides other things and he was consistantly quoted as an example, until in the end i felt like pulling my own head off.
then there is paul, who in my opinion, cocked up everything jesus said and stood for.

AUSSIES: PLEASE READ THIS - Is JW accountant Australia's top tax fraud?
by ozziepost inappearing in the current issue of australia's brw ("business review weekly") magazine is the cover story of the australian taxation office's cracking down on tax fraud.
two high fliers are singled out, a former assistant tax commisiioner and...... a cpa (public accountant) well known to jws in sydney.
because the practice is staffed and run by jws, some of them quite prominent in dub circles!.

How do you interact on the board?
by Fe2O3Girl inhow do you use the board?
do you bother reading people's posts when you start a topic, and acknowledge their response?.
do you read all the posts on a thread when you post to see if someone has added more details, or already posted what you would have said?

Did you enjoy being a JW?
by JH inevery time i went to a meeting, book study, or whatever, the great majority of people looked as if they were truly happy to be a jw.
their smiles looked genuine.
they seemed to love talking to each other.. i, on the other hand, wasn't really happy to be at the meetings.

In the back of my mind, even as a kid i always had Pauls words "If the dead are not to be raised let us eat, drink, for tomorrow we are to die". I always knew that there were other things I would rather be doing if it was not for Armageddon, and just hoped living a life of sacrifice was not all in vain.
I remember thinking that, too! And that I would rather live forever with my friends at school than with any witness I knew! I think being different at school & preaching the troof made me arrogant as well and although I liked the community aspect, I didn't really like many people at the hall. It was only later that I realised how much I hated it! I went to a psychologist for chronic depression a few years before I left & he advised me to leave. My reaction: 'he doesn't understand, it's the truth!' All sacrifice & little joy.

Criticisim
by 5thGeneration in.
i have to say that generally the criticism on this board toward jws is over the top.. i personally have huge problems with the 'truth' right now in my life but i notice the ones who have literally nothing good to say about anything.. there are a lot of good witnesses and a lot of good doctrine and a lot of good motives among jws.. criticism fine, but jesus commended when due.. .
