My sister-in-law is booked in for an induction on Monday night because 'the baby's head might be too big'. It doesn't even make sense!! It's not a caesar, it's an induction!! How big is the baby's head going to grow in a few days?!! (She's due on Sunday) It is just absolutely ridiculous

Avishai, that's cos you made the mistake of actually working! The best thing was to do an hour or two's easy work with friends, then spend the rest of the day having morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, whoops, is it dinner time already?!!

Hi Talesin, I liked the bit about one woman turning it all upside down! I'm doing an essay on women & monotheism at the moment, so I'm reading lots about goddess references in the bible - it's great!
I particularly liked this quote because I am very upset about unnecessary medical intervention in the birthing process at the moment & this quote just seemed to say it all!

i remember so long ago i thought elders were like a god and would always make sure i smiled at them and put on my innocent act in front of them .
even being out of the cult it took me years to finally get it through my head that they are human and not a god as they themselves think.
then one day a jw elder came to my door and at that time i had a newborn baby that i had been up with all night .

The one that they're doing this weekend was torched a few years ago!! So it's a complete rebuild.
I must have walked around with my blinkers on when I was a Witness - mostly I thought the quickbuilds were lovely!
