  nothing spectacular but you may relate to some of my emotions.. it was nearly 5 years ago now.

  i had almost left twice before but changed my mind at the last minute.

  this time i knew it was for real.

  yes i remember to this day when i threw my briefcase, stuffed with watchtowers & awakes, off a bridge into a river, my wife thought i had gone mad.

  that was in 1971.

  Why doesn't the Elder's Book give any instructions about Armageddon?

  it does mention what to do in the case of a disaster, but there are no specific instructions for the big a. what's a brother to do?.

  could it be that the WTsoc is actually quietly moving away from the concept of an "imminent" armageddon, just as it has distanced itself from 1975,---- 7000 year day-----& other significant ( to itself ) sundry numbers.

  brazilian court rules mcdonald's must pay obese employeefriday 29th october, 06:30 am jst.

  sao paulo .

  a brazilian court ruled this week that mcdonalds must pay a former franchise manager $17,500 because he gained 65 pounds (30 kilograms) while working there for a dozen years.. .

  sadly true, most of my fathers relatives had short lives, heart problems, which i inherited

  happily though, my father is still very much alive, at 89, he really enjoys the occasional McDonalds, together with regular meeting attendance & field service..........

  Anyone remember the stupidist of talks?

  i remember a talk being devoted to use of the correct grammatical pronunciation of words.

  in fact any elder or brother for that matter who didnt use the correct pronunciation was viewed as illiterate and dorky so the congregation snubbed them.... i remember the word machinations (of the devil) and the emphasis that it should be pronounced mack in nations.... another one was.

  behove was meant to be pronounced 'behoooved'.

  who are living a double life for whatever reason?.

  i ask cus i still cant understand how the new elders manuel that i see clips of everywhere has been leaked?.

  admitting my ignorance, having been out of the loop so many years, this info about splinter groups is news to me.

  can anyone shed further light (groan) on this?

  any group titles, membership numbers, publishing books etc.?
