  @ punk---this afghan business---is britain at war with that god-forsaken place?--not as far as i am aware--the russians gave up--didnt britain support the taliban then? i see the ever in creasing number of body-bags---and all for what?-----is there any oil there? and if its to do with drugs---surely it would be much cheaper to BUY the lot--then burn it all.

  not at all happy about the army. a personal view is most kids join the army as a job--as an alternative to shelf stacking. and end up in afghanistan. being shot at or blown up by people defending their own country---but then i guess thats going off topic.

  Does anybody still believe in God and the Bible?

  i just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.

  my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.

  i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.

  i didnt lose my faith in god when i left the jw's

  - never had one to start with. i was bought up as a kid by jw parents--but as i became of age i realised i simply did not believe there is a great barman in the sky. that soon put paid to any interest in the watchtower or its directives. i went and got a life. ive loved every minute of it for the last 40 years. no stopping me now.

  it had occurred to me that people who have never had a family of their own would find it very difficult to comprehend what shunning ones own family would be like. or denying ones own child a life saving blood transfusion.

  are jehovah's witnesses allowed to eat the widely used e120 or carmine that is made of insect blood.

  it is the whole insect including its blood that is used and if you crush a living cochineal insect you will see its red blood color, i've seen that done on a program on bbc where they also refer to the red as the insect's blood.
