  i was watching the beverly hillbillies the other night and i have to say, the writing and the acting was terrific!.

  The only ones that kept me laughing right up until the last episode were Golden Girls, Will and Grace and Absolutely Fabulous.
  I did enjoy Friends a bit, but the writing was too tame for my sense of humour.

  Hilarious!!!
  It reminds me of the time I worked in a video store. When doing a day shift there's only one person on. Anyway, we always kept videos playing constantly and I thought I'd put in Dumb and Dumber (this is when it first came out). I'd never seen it before, so I'm behind the counter, people are browsing through the video store, then the laxative scene comes on with the guy racing to the toilet (well, if you've seen it you know the rest). When that came on I just lost it completely. I couldn't stop myself from laughing my arse off. I had to reassure any customers that came up to the counter that I wasn't laughing at them. When something cracks me up that much it is very hard for me to stop.

  I must say my personal experience has been a bit different. I was a born-in and growing up I had afew scary things happen in my life. 2 instances where I could have died, the others just terrifying to a young kid. I use to pray for the normal stuff I guess, to be closer to jehovah, to do what he wants of me etc... but whenever I was scared, I never once prayed, I just dealt with it as it came. Same as the time I was caught in a rip as a kid and then another time I had to remain underwater, wedged between a cliff and rocks with water rushing over me in order to avoid being swept out to sea. Also had a violent drunk first stepfather and was sexually abused and I truly didn't think I would live past 16 years old. In none of those circumstances, even though I was a believer did praying to god even cross my mind. I just dealt with what came along and that was that.

  So even now I'm an atheist, I still have that same mentality. When things happen I just deal with it the best way I know how, which never included prayer. I don't like the fact that one day I will die, and I will probably try and avoid it for as long as possible, but it won't stop it from happening. Whereas if I was attacked, I would fight tooth and claw to save my life even if it meant taking their's in the process.

  i was baptized, never df'd.

  ignored the 2 or 3 phone calls from the elders, and then they left me alone.

  The first scripture I ever had a problem with was in the gospels when Jesus went to the wedding and his mother mentioned about the wine and he turned to her as said, "what am I to do with you, woman". I did bring it up to an elder once, and even when he tried to put it in context for me, I didn't buy it.
  I would never speak to my mother like that under any circumstance. It was the first time I realised that the Jesus character was an arrogant prick. Years later when I read the gospels over again and again just on their own, I realised how mentally unstable this character of Jesus was.

  Just raise the empathy component in everyone.

  Wholeheartedly agree. If everyone had a high level of empathy for others, they wouldn't be able to bring themselves to inflict harm on anyone.

  End gay cures

  i just signed a petition to put a stop to phony "gay cures" happening right now in france - and touring to another 9 countries.

  this has to stop - these "gay cures" are extremely dangerous and so damaging it drives many to self-harm and even suicide.

  with sessions planned in 9 more countries, france must lead the way.

  Video stores in Australia are closing down....anyone know why?

  two video stores in my town closed down, but at least i have my blockbuster video store!

  $30 a month and i can get 2 movie at a time all month.

  yesterday i returned my movies and found they had closed, and a downsized civic dvd store has taken over at $6 per new movie!!!.

  I use to go to video stores all the time years ago. I refuse to hire movies anymore.
  If I see a new film coming out that I think I might like, I check out preview clips, if I like what I see I check out Amazon, ebay or wait for a Target or Kmart special to come out and buy it.

  With the cost to buys DVD's these days, it's a waste of money to hire them so it's not surprising video stores are closing. Every video store in my area also has tables full of DVD's for sale now, that's where they make most of their money, selling dvd's as well as snacks, drinks and ice creams.

  hey folks,.

  i'm wondering if you all could help me with my next video that i want to put up in the next couple of days (though i'm hoping for tonight), i want to come up with a list of the most prominent urban legends surrounding jws and then refute them whatever they may be.. i'm thinking there's the urban legend about the question on jeopardy that said the nwt was the most accurate would be a good one.

  that one stems from an online powerpoint presentation named theological jeopardy and a book which was written comparing six different translations of the bible.

  One my grandmother told me on the Gold Coast. A woman was studying and attending meetings. She had previous been involved in spiritism. Demons use to bully her all the time and she could see them waiting for her outside of the kingdom hall during every meeting, but once she got baptised they all went away and never bothered her again.

  I swear, JDubs are demon crazy. I think they have demon stories for just about everything.

  Pre-Paid Funeral Plans- Are they for True Christians?

  Of course not!

  For a true christian to pre-plan their own funeral shows a lack of faith in god's promise of everlasting in paradise earth which is just around the corner. We are living in the final minutes of the last days. Now is not the time to plan for a death that most probably will never come.
