observing how stranglers and those who get ahead of the wt org are left or get ostricised reminded me of similar dynamics in some animal societies, lions, for instance.

lions and housecats are the only felines that form groups.

pack members who get sick or injured and become unable to keep up w the pride are left behind.

Wow. That's really brutal OUTLAW. I doubt anyone has seen a kid THAT young kicked out for not wanting to\not being able to live up to the WTS prescribed way of living, but should we be surprised if it has happened? We, of course, HAVE heard of many teens getting the boot for DF and\or (so-called) apostasy. How could a loving parent with a human heart do that? As we see here though, most JWs have had an awful lot of their humanity stripped away, leaving little else but pack instinct. This is a truly frightening phenomenon!

but i have a conundrum i need some help with.

i have mostly successfully faded from the organization, and i was a witness my whole life.

I myself tend to just cut the discussion short wth anybody and everybody who I know to be in my old congregation. I don't get into any chitchat at all. I just tell them that I'm late, that I'm in a rush, that I'm busy, etc, and then I quickly take my leave. I simply don't give them the time of day. That's just me though...

If time travel exists

if time travel exists then our past has likely been traveled to and possibly altered.

even though we haven't found a way to harness time doesn't mean that someone will at some point in time if time travel is indeed possible.. so hypothetically, if time travel is real, where do you think people traveled back in time, already, and for what reason?.

The number of people in here who believe in UFOs, extraterrestrial visitations, superluminal travel and time travel to the past seems a bit higher than the norm.

Sorry Nickolas, but I'm afraid your a little bit out to lunch with that one. You'll find many, many believers in UFOs, extraterrestrial visitations, superluminal travel, time travel to the past and the paranormal in all corners of western society and the internet in almost equal proportion to what you see here. It just so happens that it's more in-your-face here and on other web forums, regardless of type. The web just makes it all easier to talk about. There isn't as great a percentage of the population who are so rigidly scientific\skeptical\cynical as you might think. I'm sure there are other web forums out there for ones who are more like minded to you. Just sayin'. You are still welcome here, of course...

P.S. I might believe in the future possibility of breaking the light speed barrier but I DON'T believe in reverse time travel. The thought of THAT is just far too headache inducing for me...
