WHY MANY GET STUCK IN!

from my experience as a jw i noticed that myself, and many young ones do not have a choice in the decision of becoming a jw or not.

from infancy you are indoctrinated, so by the time you become a teenager and just begining to reason on right and wrong and what you will do with your life it has already been decided.

so at this moment in your late teens you come to a cross roads... if you decide not to be a jw you will be mentally and emotionally beaten, threatened and oustracized bordering on abuse.

Adjustments ... when a religious order applies for status as

a charity...thereby giving them a tax free status, more

documentation should be required.

A document showing the results of practicing the religion,

and proof of the value to civilization... these must be written

by those who have been born to it & then escaped!

* Do something that will 'up' your self esteem.

Accomplish something that scares you.

Push your limits to the uncomfortable zone.

Make your wife very proud of you.

jehovah ushers satan into his presence.. jehovah: "listen satan, the thousand year reign is just about up, and according to the bible, i've gotta let you go back to earth and tempt the people, so you'd better go down and see what's happening before you get to work.

i wished i had picked another book to endorse besides that bible.

I think my fade has hit a rut. Do I need to grow a pair?

so here i am after about 18 months of wake up.

the first 6 months were a rollercoster of feelings as my whole belief system unravelled.

the last year has been more stable but things seem like they are just stalling now.. my wife is aware of many of my feelings although i have held back the fact that i am pretty close to denying all belief in any kind of god.

Konceptual .... right now you can still lead your kids

& wife in family study ...if you are not doing that ..start!

Choose your study material well!

Once you declare your disbelief ...this will be stopped!

Maybe you have tried that route ..I don't know.

You are being blackmailed by watchtower society...

and the currency is ........your family!

Don't give up easily ...they would like that!

hello all, it is nice to have a forum for former jw's and see i wasn't the only one out there having serious doubts.

my parents got into it when i was about 4 years old.

my family was part of the granville ny congregation.. my dad in time became an elder.
