  so today was my first sunday meeting that i didn't go with my wife.

  as an update she has decided not to move out right now...because she doesn't have anywhere to go.

  but she is giving me the silent treatment.

  As a few of the others have said, it's likely that PPD is playing a part in this - some of the most ridiculous things are magnified into "too big to stick it through" for a woman with PPD. It's amazing how profound it can be. But I also agree that it sounds as if she's been planning this for a while. I disagree that there may be a third party involved, not every woman leaves a good man for another wo/man, plenty of women just want their own space. We'll never know her particular feelings on this, and I don't think the speculation is helping Dan any.

  Dan, you're hurting right now. I believe it's ok to be hurting and to let yourself feel the hurt, but you will also need to be able to set it aside at times to protect your kids and yourself. I hope you made it home safely last night, make sure you are very careful with the beer for a while. CD has given you good advice as well...

  Finally, we're all thinking of you. You'll pull through this, one way or another and come out all the stronger for it.

  my bf is one of jw mainly to please his parents, since he doesn't believe half the stuff they preach.

  now i'v been going to the meetings for over 2 years partly because is pretty much the only way i'd get his parents approval.

  i am in the process of studying the bible to become baptized.

  Seriously, if he can't exit it, even if he says he doesn't believe it, save yourself the misery of being wed to a JW.

  I say this as someone who is married to one. We were together without JW influence for years. Before we met, he studied for a while, and then stopped. Several years into our relationship, he picked it up again. Our relationship has never been the same since.

  I agree, if she is talking about leaving and taking kids out of state, you're going to have to cover your bases. You can still play fair with a lawyer. But having one on your side will protect you in case she doesn't play fair. Which is possible.

  ever see this pattern.... young brother hits 18-20 and his hormons are on overdrive.

  he can not find someone in the congregation, so he sneaks out and finds a 'wordly girl' who thinks sex before marriage is ok and normal.

  so he feels this is a way to deal with the hormones and basically, goes sex wild on her and hopes no one finds out.

  Haha, I'm the beer drinker and sports watcher in the relationship. I guess the most romantic non-sexual thing The Mr did for me was to buy me a sword and a battle axe.

  Ok, I can do cute notes, and will focus hard on them not being sexually suggestive. I guess I should say I'm trying to focus on the non-sexual romantic stuff.

  See, I'm just not a romantic type, and while I do talk to him about it, he's still too vague for me, so I'm seeking what it means to other people. Funnyface, one thing that's good is that the WTS hasn't got much hold on our boudoir. There have been some minor changes (regrettably), but nothing big (yet? I hope not). I reckon if he did make any dramatic changes in that department, there would be a serious door closing for us.

  I do know the typical romance things are roses, and whatnot, but it's also the meaning behind that that interests me. I'm all for cut to the chase and head to the bedroom, but he's interested in, I guess, more lead ins to that - you know, romance.

  well, folks, this little mermaid just got back from the sad she had to attend w/her husband so as to keep a measure of peace (we're in the process of working out compromises...you know how it goes) i was pretty mad by the end of the day (thank god it ended at 4:00) mostly because i learned some new things that i would never have guessed in a million years.. did you know that satan is setting up artificial "refuges" as a counterfeit to jehovah's "true refuge"which is...his organization???

  now satan's "false refuges" are pretty damn bad, like, for instance, "independent thinking.

  " no, siree bob, we don't want none of that!!

  What is the SAD, what does it stand for and what distinctive about it?

  Libelle, SAD is short for Special Assembly Day. Several years ago, the Society eliminated one of the two annual 2-day conventions and subbed in the SAD, which is only one day--and a kind of shortish day at that. Still, it's one day too long for this mermaid, especially with such stupidity being ladled out under the guise of "food at the proper time."

  Ok, I think The Mr's SADs are in December, if I'm not mistaken. Are these circuit assemblies?
