It's the reaffirmation that they have the "truth." Smug (as mentioned above), is a great word. Or self rightousness comes to mind as well. I knew several of those in my old hall.

JWs react with joy when something bad has happen to inactive or DF'd ones
by Anator ini've noticed when i was an active dub that some jws act joyful whenever they hear that an inactive jw or a df'd person had something bad happen to them.
some have a glee-ful smile and they give that *look* that says, "we told you so".
have you ever experienced what i'm referring to?

Yikes, this woman seems very under-educated. Most pools have rules that you have to shower before you get in the pool. This is not the majority anymore. Heck, where I live, the pools cater to all races and religions allowing for "burkini's" to be worn lol!!

I think people do it for many reasons, but mostly it can be based on needs not being met, and egos being stroked. Sometimes it can be love.
I say that about love, because I have several people I know who ended up divorcing spouses and marrying the man or woman they were involved with when one or both of them were legally married. Most of these marriages are surprisingly happy, and going strong....dare I say something cliche' and harsh as "soulmate" - esque??? So every situation is different.
I knew a repeat offender in the congregation I was in, this man banged just about every vulnerable woman out there. So much hurt. He and his wife are still together. So in that case, your scenario is correct.

Personal opinion is that a small amount of people have to take porn viewing to a greater level to receive sexual excitement. After a while, men and women or gay porn isnt enough, and they may want to see disgusting things like children or animals. In that case, yes, I think it is absolutely devious and non-human. Does the WT get credit for coining that in their literature? No...

Other posters have already said much of what I would say also. This is not meant to minimize your pain or her actions....but I don't think this has anything to do with you. This person was probably feeding into her need to feel attractive, and she likely was very flattered. It may have felt exciting and all of those chemicals were probably taking over on the part of the brain that should have stepped in and made her run.
If she is still around him at work, he probably will keep pursuing her, she is perhaps filling in the void and helping him get those chemicals that feel good, while getting over the rejection and hurt of his divorce. If there is anyway she can transfer and get away from him, that is best.
This could bring you closer together if you are able to slowly regain trust, and respect for one another. I agree with PP that counseling is the best way to go.
Please know that you have lots of people thinking of you. I forget, is your wife the only JW in the house? Do you have kids? If you are a JW also, are you going to the elders? I would probably avoid getting other people involved in your personal issues. But that is just my opinion.

Is anyone else getting ready for Christmas?
by juni ini was in the mood today... got the tree cheap (came w/lights), decorations and ribbon for half price and made the bow myself to save money.
i was going to put it aside until after thanksgiving, but couldn't resist completing the project.
i just have to get some fiber fill for "snow" at the base.
