Interesting. I need to get a printer at home so I can pop all of these little tidbits into a binder and organize the stuff.

The Watchtower Society, The Organization of Deceit
by wasblind inexample: sept 1, 2010 wt, public edition states on page 13 :.
" you have nothing to fear in examining your religious beliefs" they also state on this page: "yes, even though a certain religious teaching seems to be inspired-or to come from god- it is still the course of wisdom to examine the scriptures to make sure before accepting it as true_ john 8:31,32.".
in the sept 15, 2010 wt, study edition for witnesses only on page 13 paragraph 8 states: "this spiritual food is based on gods word.

But I think you can also avoid it. If you live on your own, you can make it know it is your property and they are not welcome. Do not respond to any of their contact. If they know you are doing something against their religion, do they have proof, or just heresay? Again, you can do the legal threatening thing, which I think is pretty smart and will definitely do if I am confronted anymore by elders.

Let's see, I know that when my kids are out of my care and with their dad at JW stuff, that they are relatively safe providing there are no pedophile's. Thinking here............umm...............I also have more dress coats than the average person..................slips, those slips really come in handy when you have to wear tights with a non lined skirt, I don't think many non church going people have a variety of half slips and full slips...............let's see what else..........I too do not get fearful to do any public speaking.....my other JW family seems to be happy so more power to them.

Soliloquy
by behemot inin recent years the assemblies started to feature a new kind of demonstration on stage: the soliloquy, where inner thoughts and reasonings of the character are uttered aloud for the benefit of the audience.
usually the plot is something like this:.
1. the character (a brother, a sister, a youngster) starts with indulging in a selfish/materialistic/unspiritual thought/plan.

They always seemed very unrealistic, put on...a showy display of pseudo-christianity.

Are most JW's window washers?
by SlipnSlide ini have read this on this site and know some that do this type of work.
if most jw's are window washers, what other occupations are considered the type of jobs that a witless would have.

It would be interesting what a true study of professions among JW's would actually look like. It is astounding the amount who do happen to do this work. It seems alot of British folk see this commonality, and I am not sure about any Aussie's or Canadian's, but in the US, at least in the mid west, the professions mentioned are very common in JWland. Making a living, and not having to rely on hand outs is always a good thing.
Misery, do you know more JW's who have diversified career's, or do they tend to lump into one group? It is interesting to me to hear your perspective.

Wasblind, that might stumble fellow Witlesses because of the blood issue. They could become contaminated and accidentily get some of the blood from the roadkill. Do you think those would qualify as fractions?

Why do baptized dubs treat unbaptized dubs like outcast?
by Joliette ini've been going to the hall every since i was little, but i've never been baptized.
i was a publisher, but i stepped down because i had sex with my boyfriend back in the day.
i've noticed that people act kind of coy toward me since i'm not baptized, and they treat other people like this too.

Because you should have been baptised by now....duh!

My ex H is one. He did make pretty good money and to my knowledge still does alright. Let's see, there are several businesses set up by brothers in my area that are common.
UIG Insurance is a big insurance company owned or partially owned by JW's and most of the workforce was or is JW's at any given time. Some interesting drama and excess regarding that group. Oh, the boondagle's they would go on! This insurance company targeted senior citizens and sold them insurance in case they went to nursing homes.
Carpet cleaning, I think the company was the Rug Doctor, but I cannot remember for sure.
Colors On Parade, a franchise that several brothers bought into to paint damaged cars on dealer lots. They had certain areas they bought into and would service the various dealerships. The PO from my old KH actually lost some accounts for grossly overcharging and gouging the dealerships. Some hanky panky also occured during out of state training for these franchises and a MS was removed.
Construction companies.
Alot of the other people I knew were assembly line workers, electricians, housekeepers, receptionists. Some of the more schmoozy types were into sales of software or security systems, etc.
