Just told my JW parents Im pregnant!
by kat7302 into those of you that followed my last thread about my shock pregnancy, i asked my jw parents to come round after the meeting tonight so i could tell them.
i was so nervous because im not married and the first time i told them (this is my 4th!
) they were not too impressed.......... they were fine!

You are SSSSOOOOOOOOO wrong Matty, ever since the day we first met on the forum I have been unable to think of anything else. Your humour and amazing personality have bowled me over and I have to say that I am more than a little impressed by you. I only pray that the time when we meet speeds up for I can think of little else. Not long now handsome and we can meet at last, I imagine that it will be almost like a romantic movies slow play where we run to each other in slow motion, arms opening and smiles beaming as we ignore all those people passing by and only have eyes for eachother. oh matty, Impressed????? You are positively divine darling......I imagine the long walks and romantic rambles we will take throught the cherry orchards..we may even pick a few as we go, we will laugh together and talk of memories gone. we may even visit the zoo together so that we can unite with the Pandas you love so much....Oh matty, say you'll be mine...say it Matty!
And who said that sarcastic humour was dead? Nah only joking, I think youre great Matty and I am VERY impressed with your posts, thanks for your reply once again. What dyu think of my artistic writing then huh?

Friday night mayhem with the "brothers"
by refiners fire ini dont know whether ive posted on this before, but when i was a young guy we used to get up to some fearfull mayhem on friday and saturday nights.
we burnt down buildings, blew cars up, shotgunned houses and blasted windows out while people slept inside, stole cars and piled them into telegraph poles, and ran cars off the road just for laughs.
now the thing is, while we were doing this...we were all active dubs!.

woah refiner! cant honestly say I did any of that stuff...you were bad!!!!!!! I can understand the anger and jealousy tho, Im just really shocked that it went on to that extent and with so much criminal intent, thats deep!
My claim to fame....i was being served in pubs at 13 (whilst I auxiliary pioneered of course!)....I used to go with a friend to the pub after the meeting saying that we were going to do route calls!..we used to sneak out DURINg the meeting for a fag! we were so naive we thought if we had a mint we wouldnt smell!..one special evening, the group was at our house, my friend and I said we were ill and were sat in the other room indressing gowns...as soon as I heard dad start the opening prayer, we whipped off the dressing gowns, slipped out the french windows and were straight up the pub..a few halves later and we sneaked back into the house, put back on the dressing gowns and a few minutes later, my mum came in to check we were ok!
Cant believe we got away with it now! Crazy stuff!

cheers for all your responses guys.
jt - i understand your comments about women leaving the WTS and then hearing what they need to from men but I think the greatest danger is the fact that when we leave we still trust everybody. I do think that has led to more unfortunate situations in the long run.
I think that life has thus far taught me to know when a man is sincere and in it for the distance so Im lucky that I am in this situation. It is too easy nowadays to go out into the world and find a partner who is only interested in one thing and there are plenty of women like this too, not just men.

I think there are certain ones of us that have spent so long being somebody that we werent we've just gotten used to acting. I still cant shake it off even now, 10 years on. Dont feel you're alone tho. you sound very stressed and your last post on my thread gave me a little insight as to why. As I said on that thread...feel free to vent on here......the added advantage is that we all undersdtand where you're coming from. You dont have to feel overwhelmed about where to start, how to explain...we already know so feel free to let it out and we'll support as best we can.

BBQ Update
by LittleToe inwell, i finally got home, after a round trip of about 1600 miles, visiting 28 ex-jw's and their families, from around britain.
the highlight of the trip was definitely englishman's bbq .
the spider-filled digeridoo, was a real bonus, as was the sing-alonga-eman (shame that not everyone knew "wild rover" .

I am sweet and a little bit naughty. I am one of the few clinically proven aphrodisiacs. Sometimes I can seem a little hard, but show me warmth and I soon melt!
What can I say guys...thats so me! I didnt even need to cheat either! Im an aphrodisiac, must remember to tell the boyf that next time he has a headache!
my alternative was
I am bitter and twisted. Expect from me acerbic humour and sharp commentary. While I may seem nasty at first, Im actually quite good company if I like you, so long as you dont mind a bit of cutting-to-the-chase.

"you're Lucky"
I think if you read some of my threads and posts you'll see that Ive been anything but lucky in life. I just felt that it was nice to be posting something positive for once about the JW's as everything on here is negative (and for good reason!) I do class myself lucky at having 3 beautiful children and now a VERY UNPLANNED 4th but as regards my upbringing in general...not so lucky Im afraid.
Without the long drawn out story.........Ill give you some highlights
Second thoughts...no I wont! Its too depressing but if you wanna find out, just read some of the threads. In response to your situation....that sounds like an awful time you went through and I agree that when the baby comes along it does seem to be a magic healing process! Never quite got that one but I suppose you can look on it that your child will never have to go through anything like that.
Life doesnt suck though unless you let it. Venting can definatley help and if you do check out the threads youll see Ive done my fair share of that! Im not suprised you get down considering what you went through, I hope that you came out the other end and have a beautiful new life in your daughter now that somehow makes everything worthwhile.
