starting tomorrow, i will be filling in the blank each day with the name of a "person of significance" that goes with the city, county and state.

it's up to you to decide what this list is about ... feel free to add your own list of persons of significance.

i cannot say anything negative that is untrue about such persons lest i libel them ... such as i could not tell you if any of these names are part of the list of 23,770, because i cannot prove it, and i don't have access to that list ... but as long as what i post is the truth, then that is my defense ... and may the watchtower dare to bring about a lawsuit ... nbc dateline and bbc panorama will also be invited to the party ... .

does anyone know this.is it run by 12 men or 1?and if so, is one of them the old guy who starred in panorama last night.there must be someone at the top who makes big decisions who probably has a fat wallet,1st class transportation,regular holidays(no sorry i mean visiting different branches and assemblys,stays in the hilton and smokes big cigars.

I have no doubt that all money earned goes straight towards the legal costs to protect the children from paedophiles.

I hope the GB doesnt get run by the guy on panorama.........wot a putz!

can you really be so closed minded as to think that everyone on here is lying???????/

If you watched the programme then surely you can see how easily the truth can be used as a weapon. Just because you personally werent told not to watch, dont assume that this is the same for every other witness.

I do have a question for you though, particularly as you are still a witness (bless!)......

How do you feel the elder in the programme not to mention the unforgettable performance of the GB member dealt with the questions? I for one was bowled over with the wealth of information and helpful attitude that was shown to the reporter investigating an extremely serious matter. Always good to see the witnesses lost for words and turning their backs on the cameras. Doesnt that say anything to you?

I do happen to know that a member of Bethel phoned one of her relatives in the UK and specifically told her NOT to watch the programme. This sister didnt then because the impression was given that if you did watch, you were an apostate!

How sad that the Witnesses are not allowed to make up their own minds on what they can watch.

Ive heard it said a few times on here and totally agree that if the programme was based on the Catholic Church or any other religion for that matter, the Witnesses would not only be encouraged to watch but no doubt statistics and details would be memorised to be quoted on the ministry and very probably published in the next exciting edition of 'Watching the World' !!!!!!!!!!!!

The fact they are told not to watch just proves something in itself. Lets be fair, the way the elders/GB acted on the programme was enough to put doubt in the minds of the faithful. How embarrasing.

JW behavior at my worldly aunt's funeral

it's been a few months since i've been here, so i thought i'd stop in and say hello.

i also wanted to to tell you a story about my jw mother's behavior at my worldly aunt's funeral.

this isn't a post of any educational value, just a post for me to rant, so read on if you would like.. about two weeks ago, i attended a funeral for my aunt julie who, after suffering with cancer for about two years, lost her battle with the disease and passed away.

I really felt for you reading that. Like you, I feel very ashamed in those sort of situations because I know that I would have acted that way too, unbelieveable isnt it when you look back. It really is a different world.

Instead of feeling shame at your mums actions though, just try to remember that she is acting as her heart tells her to. She probably feels that discussing Jehovah at the funeral was the right thing to do. Witnesses are the way they are 24 hrs a day, there is no reprieve. In some ways, I suppose that it was nice your mum actually attended as so many witnesses would have felt that as it wasnt conducted in a kingdom hall, it wouldnt be fitting to attend.

The main thing is, your aunt sounds like she was a very kind and understanding woman and she would have appreciated your mum being there at all.

PAEDOPHILE in Llantwit Major Congregation-UK

there is a paedophile in the llantwit major congregation in south glamorgan,uk.

he was disfellowshipped from barry congregation following a judicial meeting where approximately 20 sisters aged between 9 and upwards gave statements accusing him of alledgely commiting......child abuse, indecent behaviour and rape.

he of course denied all allegations and the elders did their best to protect him and took years to finally get the situation sorted but eventually, they had no way in which to protect him anymore so he was removed from the congregation.

Following his being disfellowshipped, he was then taken to court and found guilty of sexual harrasment by a worldy woman. He failed to ever pay the fine though.

Despite all this, he was reinstated into Llantwit Major congregation where he enjoys fellowship with his brothers once again. The majority of the congregation have no idea of his history so although he may never be given priviledges again within the kingdom hall, he certainly has the trust of all those attending.....that and the trust of their children.

Ironically enough, about 90% of the woman who attended that judicial meeting have since left or been disfellowshipped.

I hope saving the one lamb was worth it.

Paedophiles in cardiff north road congregation

i know that in this congregation is a unbaptized man who is always looking at the young girls at the hall and he is also known by the elders for doing this,he has been reported by numerous individuals but the elders said to those reporting to approach the man and sought it out and beleive me they werent interested in soughting out this problem.i suppose they will only do something when he actually trys something on with a youngster.i think its sick that they look lightly at these potential threats,you see this problem at this hall will be rectified soon dont you worry im sure me being a well known activist will take it into my own hands.i think for starters i will put up a big banner on the front their kingdom hall sending the message out to the public.to be continued!!!!!

your best bet (if you have the guts for this!) is to answer up in the Watchtower or something and mention in accuratley including his name etc......sad but its the only way that all the congregation will ever get to know about it. I think we've all seen enough proof that going to the elders alone is not enough. The only way to out these ones is to actually do it.
