Since it was the sex that enticed them, maybe they saw, or thought that men had more fun than women. (Ha, ha,ha!)

Angels are all male?
by sabastious ingenesis 6: 1, 2 - 1 when human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of god saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.. so angels are only attracted to female humans.. anyone else find this extremely telling?.

Might I coin a new phrase?...... (A tribute?)
by VampireDCLXV infarkel.
verb: to post a terse, witty, unexpected comment on a thread.
frequently a non-sequitir or personal attack.. example: ellie486 farkeled me on my comment about women.... .

Ha,ha,ha,....that is very funny!
He is so very smart and witty, and is so articulate.
I went back and read most of the "best of" Farkel.
His comments can be devastating.
If he wasn't offended by that usage, I do think it is a great new word! Let's ask!

Mind Control on Dr. Phil
by brotherdan inusually i'm not into dr. phil at all.
but yesterday he had on dr. philip zimbardo from standford university on the show to talk about obedience to authority.
now the focus was on people doing bad and cruel things when obeying authority, but i could not help but see how many of the psychological issues also seemed to take place in jehovah's witnesses.. for example, a man was waiting outside the studio when a security gaurd walked up to the waiting man with a supposed thief.

what is going on?
by drawcad_1 injust started attending a new congregation with my wife (very much a believer) and have noticed a lot of complacency.
during the weekdays service meetings it is only pioneers and auxileries that show up.
on weekends a typical service group that has 30 people assigned to it only has 6 show up.

It is very discouraging. Many people are suffering financial hardships that will impact them for years, if not permanently. I will not be surprised if it takes four or five more years for the economy of adjust.

"Do We Have to Jump From the WatchtowerÂ’s Frying Pan into Hellfire?"
by leavingwt insome may enjoy this new post at free minds by sherry jansma.
do we have to jump from the watchtowers frying pan into hellfire?.
one of the most appealing doctrines in the theology of jehovahs witnesses is their teaching on hellfire.

LWT - Your article was extremely interesting and food for thought. It gives a viewpoint and argument that was not only thoughtful, but very well written.
Personally, I am not sure what I believe right now, or if I will ever again choose any concrete belief. One of the things that has always bothered me a great deal was the idea that Christianity is the sole truth. With most of the world strongly believing in other theologies, and most of mankind that have ever lived or died in that same position, I have always questioned how and why God would choose to make his will known only to a chosen few, just to Christians, with the rest of mankind unable to avail themselves of knowledge (regardless of how fuzzy at the present) and then punish and destroy the majority of mankind for failing to follow and uphold his standards of behaviour. It just has never made sense to me, and up to now, I am not convinced in this regard. Really, I am not sure that I would even want to worship such a god. One of the many reasons that I am apostate by JW standards, (even though I am still "in" for the present).

I take it you are in a secular school of some type. I don't know what grades you teach or the subjects. Could you elaborate? Maybe there will be some good ideas.

You can get disfellowshipped for a dirty house too!
by GrandmaJones ini was telling my sister that i downloaded a copy of the new "flock" book (don't worry, my sister doesn't bat an eye over my doing things like this) and she was asking me if there was anything "good" or "juicy" in it.
imagine her shock when i told her that members of the flock can be df'd for keeping an untidy house.. seriously, i think they were talking about hoarders.
that is even worse!!!!!!!!

It doesn't specify how untidy and dirty the house is. I get the impression that this may be known to outsiders. Really, I think this is ridiculous. Just who is going to take charge of this duty? Will the elders start coming for "home inspections"?

It is a terrible shame. One of my daughters has postponed children past the prime childbearing years. A couple more and it would be doubtful she could conceive. If she made the choice for any reason other than her desire to pioneer and "not to bring children into the world in this system of things" I would feel differently, but under the circumstances....
