  June Service Meeting part: Marriage, separation and divorce

  i'm curious as to why this is a national topic for a service meeting part?

  has anyone any thoughts on this?.

  We have had a few talks about the problem of some committing adultery to get a scriptural divorce, and re marrying usually the one they committed adultery with. It has become an epidemic for JW and a growing problem, there are so many divorces in the religion, and not always scriptural. Some are so desperate they will violate Gods law to gain a divorce, or some just walk out, and yes it is usually the women that leave, but usually the brother that commits the adultery.

  Another growing concern is the amount of brothers marrying very young sisters, some widowed no longer than six months taking up with sisters half their age.

  Its a mans world in the JW religion usually.

  Why does the watchtower still have a president? (And is the GB really 'running the show?')

  i'm asking this because i was told that the gb is really running the show?

  is it the gb, or the president?.

  I guess they have to have the lawyers running the show, they have gotten themselves into so much Pooh they don't know which way to turn, so instead of relying on God, they have their lawyers instead.

  moses, according to the scriptures spoke directly with god and was gods spokesman to the israelites.

  They don't realize that they have become just like the world, followers of men. Nowhere in the Scriptures has Jehovah required his people to put their full confidence in any man. (Ps. 146:3,4; Jer. 17:5; Ro. 3:4)

  The GB likes to compare themselves to Moses, and that Jehovah required the people to listen to him and obey him; and most of the brothers in the congregations accept that. But Moses did not picture any governing body. He pictured Jesus, the greater Moses. (Heb. 1:1,2; 3:2-6) In wanting to compare themselves to Moses they have become just like Korah, Dathan and Abiram, who also persuaded others to follow them. But their end will be the same as those earlier rebels.

  Needed Organizational Changes for WT

  i am concerned about the spiritual welfare of the jehovah's witnesses.

  surely we all have noticed an unhealthy development in their leaders attitude, the "governing body".

  they have more and more begun to emphasize their importance and their power, in the literature and talks and thereby drawing unnecessary much attention to themselves.

  to be true is wrong, but worse still they have lied to cover over their mistakes, that really made me angry.

  I still have family in the congregation and I am still hanging in there for as long as I can. Why, family.

  I think that ministry site is a hate site for JW. however not all sites that talk about JW and their differences in the bible are hate sites. Sure you going to get some sites that out right hate JW and lie and make up personal stories.

  Thing is a lot of sites are simply pointing out what they see is mistakes in the teaching of the WTBTS, and do not hate JW at all.

  A lot of JW and pro-JW can also use tactics and show this one site and judge all other sites without looking into them as being haters of JW's.

  The best thing for Spade to do if indeed he is looking for truth about the WTBTS and its teachings, is to search the net and read some of the information about Gods word available and compare that the the WTBTS teachings.

  You will find some excellent sites to help you. Thats if you are truly serious about searching for the truth.
