trying to convince my wife not to confess...
by wafflesandpancakes induring our engagement, we fooled around and touch each other down there.
it's not a "tap" but definitely is not "stimulation".
i tried to convince my wife, who, after 5 years of marriage, strangely felt guilty all the sudden, that its not do called porneia.

Sexting, thinking with my little head
by stillin ini had no idea, having come from such a sheltered life, how tantalizing those little text messages could be.
i'm a married man.
my wife has pretty much decided that sex is not for her anymore.

There's no telling whether this JW lady will start feeling guilty and confess to the elders. You've got to consider that the chance of your wife finding out is extremely high.

The New Diary of Winston Smith
by WinstonSmith inwe had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.
fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Yes, that's great Winston.
We've got so much new technology available to us today, including the internet and mobile phones. It is a lot easier to come into contact with people we've known in the past. This is not a good thing for the WTBTS and gives us the benefit of having more support than would have been available before.

I don't think this guy is sincere at all. Most of his points are an attack on you personally and he shows no respect for your stand against how pedophiles are handled within the congregation.
I would ask him to explain why it could not be possible that God is using you to help make the organization better.

I don't see why not because I know they seek out father's and sisters. Pretty shocking really and they have done so little when it comes to pedophiles.

Undeclared changes to the 2013 NWT
by Doug Mason inin the following from the 2013 edition of the nwt, the watchtower society indicates that when it released its initial 1950 edition, it considered the greek text provided by westcott and hort as its master text.
as a result of these additional masters, the wts made some undeclared changes to the 2013 nwt.
it does not list these changes or give any explanations.. greek text: in the late 19th century, scholars b. f. westcott and f.j.a.

No doubt many of these scholars would be christian themselves and here is the organization relying on them and then condemn them to death.

Epic FAIL! :( My sister is gone from me.
by Faithful Witness ingot this email from my sister today.
there is a lot of back story, and this isn't a surprise.
it will be interesting to see how it affects the rest of the family, if they hear about it or not.

I've followed your story a little, particularly regarding the presents. You may already know how you are emotionally affecting her, if you don't then you could write to her and ask her to explain. That way you may be able to discuss these issues to try and solve them, if you are so inclined.

WTS HQ: Look At The Map
by metatron inhttp://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/01/04/1263154/-what-s-the-most-jewish-congressional-district-in-america.
take a good look.
provides support for my theory that the society wants to 'hide out' in an area dominated by jewish enclaves - who quietly are a publically unchallenged 'law unto themselves' as they dominate or largely control wide swaths of ny territory right down to local pta elections.. this is not politically correct stuff, folks but power brokers in ny state gov.

The JWs don't vote, they can't give any support to the Government.

The elders have a book called 'Shepherding the Flock' and it doesn't even come close to dealing with these types of issues, shame on them.

Appointed by holy spirit
by Ben57 ini have been reading the posts on who is and or had been an elder.
it amazes me at what many have said.
perhaps i have misunderstood what they were saying.

Ben57 said
"WHAT IS MEANT BY THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
It simply means that they are following the Bibles the direction - that is trying to do things Jehovahs way. The Bible was written under the inspiration of the holy spirit and if they follow those guidelines they are letting the holy spirit direct them. The holy spirit has no other active part in anything at all. If there was any more involvement that that then all those men would be inspired as the Bible writers and prophets were"
You say that the HS has no other active part in anything at all. You may be just referring to the appointment of elders but it helps to reconsider this point in other areas of their teaching.
The HS has a very active role in appointing the 'anointed' There are over 11,000 JWs who would testify this and not the least being the GB members themselves. If this appointment and anointment is so clear in their minds then the HS must be active in other ways.
If individuals feel this HS so strongly as to proclaim they have been given a different hope to the rest of the JWs and will be recieving a special role in heaven that only they have been selected for then it should'nt be out of the question to think that the HS can have an active part in other things such as the appointment of elders.
