  the wt study was always supposed to be for discussion of 'the deep truths' of the bible.

  the wt may have always been filled with utter nonsense, but at least it had the appearance of a topical discussion of bible doctrine.

  JW.ORG REPORTS THE WATCHTOWER RESPONSE TO EBOLA

  i just checked the jw.org website and noticed an article about the jw response to ebola.

  as i suspected, the entire focus was on alerting and educating jw members about ebola.just like in other disaster situations, the jw organization almost exclusively assists it's own members, ignoring the general public.

  it seems their main concern is keeping their members healthy so they can continue to spread the jw message door to door!!!

  Thanks for the link, it details a JC in the Fenton congregation. I hope he decides to record his appeal trial.

  This was a good comment made in his appeal letter

  ..."I understand that it is possible that you brothers are not familiar with the scriptures or articles

  dealing with the heavenly hope since none of you claim to be brothers to Christ Jesus, nor have

  you received the witness of the spirit. Therefore, it is my request that the brothers who will

  preside over my Appeal Hearing be other mature anointed brothers who have insight into these

  matters and can give me a fair hearing regarding how I should conduct myself in connection with

  my hope..."

  I wouldn't be surprised if it was the owner of the site that had just gone through this JC.

  "Witness To A Load Of Elitist Nonsense"

  an article that appears in todays heraldsun newspaper 11/10/14 by tom elliott , heraldsun.com.au .....(.victoria australia).

  breifly it is about a response to an article he wrote a couple of weeks ago as a pro-atheist and the respnses he received from religous people .

  he also has a spot as host on radio 3aw in melbourne .. he then talks about the up coming convention at etihad stadium of jehovahs witnesses and some of their weird beleifs.. he then talks about a 21 year old girl who defends the shunning process on his talk back radio program which he didnt appreciate.. overall an interesting article if you can read it wherever you are .. i sent him an e-mail in relation to his article , if you read it you might like to do so as well.

  Why doesn't the GB make field service optional for certain congregation members only similar to the Mormons?

  ephesians 4:11 makes for a strong case that not every member of the congregation should have to go door-to-door.. "so christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,..".

  this shows that different members of the first century congregations served different ministerial functions.

  so why don't the jw's say that field service is no longer compulsory for all congregation members, only for those who feel a calling for it per eph 4:11..... the mormons sort of do this with their young men and women 'elders' doing 2 years voluntary, genuinely full-time service (these mormons boys put in some big hours 6 days a week and have their meals provided for them, etc!

  They started out as a publishing company and have made huge sums of money by having all JWs sell their publications. They've worked very hard at selling this obligation to their followers that they can't back out now.

  4thGen, I am curious about the video's from 'On the scene with Brooklyn'. I doubt that they were made by jw org but it is very likely that it had the backing of the Covention overseer.

  Comments are disabled, which is no surprise but i made a comment on one of her other video's. It was spotted by a JW who replied. This is the conversation so far and has not been deleted yet.

  I saw your convention video and I thought for a moment that you may have been a JW but after seeing your other video's I was wondering if you are or aren't. Some of your clothes are very revealing and low cut, I was personally counselled by the Elders about my clothes when I was 18 and they were nowhere near as revealing as yours. Have things changed and the moral standards just slipped?

As a witness myself i feel that your question was confrontational, please in future keep your opinion about others clothing choices and moral choices to yourself. Do you not listen to meetings to be peaceful, polite and kind Christians. Keep in mind this is the internet and everyone will see your comments, would this be something you ask a stranger that walked into a kingdom hall? Our conduct everywhere reflects ultimately on Jehovah's name, think before you act.

That is quite strange as the congregations do set standards for dress. One of the Governing Body members just gave a talk in France deriding some of the brothers for wearing fashionable tight pants. My question is not out of line at all. This is a public website and is accessed by many people and most JWs who present themselves on these video's would reflect on their clothing and moral choices as they understand that their conduct reflects ultimately on Jehovah's name.

I cannot see how I was not polite or tactful As a matter of fact, I like her clothes, they are very modern and revealing, without being tacky.   Interesting story Dwain. On the other hand this demonstrates how bad the organization can be when it comes to planning. They come off as being impatient and unable to plan adequetly by allowing sufficient time.
