November 2019 Watchtower Study....Exaggeration at its finest
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | november 2019. lessons we can learn from the book of leviticus.
16 satan and his world have done much to make the work of that faithful slave challenging, even impossible, to carry out from a human standpoint.
despite two world wars, relentless persecution, global economic crises, and unjust treatment, the faithful and discreet slave has continued to provide spiritual food for christ’s followers on earth.

On one hand they complain how badly they are persecuted and on the other hand, how much Jehovah blesses them. -

Living in the last of the last days - A new prophecy
by Listener inalthough not a new concept by the watchtower, particularly in public talks and at assemblies, they have now put this prophecy in writing.watchtower oct 2019 page 8 -13 study no.40 titled -keep busy during the last of "the last days".

what convinces us that we are living in “the last days”?

Could you imagine if the Christians in the first century were told to build, build, build immediately before the destruction of Jerusalem? They would be murmuring that this is not logical from a human standpoint.

Punkofnice - It was your fault for not accepting that you misunderstood them, it's obvious that they were going to have new light on the matter. How is it obvious you ask? The simple fact that it didn't occur then has made that evident.
They can change their mind on anything and still be right. -

That is really great Smiddy3. So many times we think that there is no way certain JWs would ever leave but over the passing of time we are likely to be surprised and delighted.

KEEP BUSY DURING THE LAST OF "THE LAST DAYS"The first paragraph asks '1. What convinces us that we are living in “the last days”?'
Nothing new here, the Watchtower has taught that humans have been living in the last days since 1914 for decades now and point to the signs that we are all familiar with.
The second paragraph then introduces the statement that we are now in the last of the 'last days' statingBecause so much time has passed since 1914, we must now be living in the last of “the last days.” Since the end is so near, we need to know the answers to some important questions: What events will occur at the end of “the last days”? And what does Jehovah expect us to do while we wait for those events?
They admit that they cannot give a date so instead they have basically sectionalized the last days. We know they teach that the start of the last days was in 1914 but they don't state when the start of the last of the last days began. Surely they know if they claim we are in those days.
For decades they have claimed that Armageddon was imminent and put that in writing and since losing their old teaching regarding 'this generation' they have not been so specific in the publications.
There is nothing to substantiate this claim other than the fact that 105 years have passed since 1914 and because of this length of time they say we must be living in the last of the last days. Not even their latest 'this generation' supports the idea. But there is not one thing in the bible that they can point to or do point to, which identifies this period (the last of the last days) and that includes any prophecies therefore they are making up their own prophecy about living in this specific time.
In the paragraph posted above they ask what will occur at the end of these last days and what does God want them to do whilst they wait for the end of the last days. But the real question that arises from this paragraph is - How can they be in the last of the last days when they acknowledge that they are not at the end of the last days? Because according to them, there are certain defined events that will occur at the Great Tribulation which occurs prior to Armageddon and at the end of the last days. According to their own teachings they can't be in the last of the last days since the GT occurs at the end of the last days then that is the last of the last days.
Evidently, what they mean is that they are now living in the last of the last days of the period before the GT which occurs in the last of the last days.
Overlapping generations anyone?
Naturally the rank & file are lapping this up and why we are seeing the hysteria increasing (again). -

As worshippers of Jehovah, we are convinced that we are living during “the final part of the days.”—Mic. 4:1.
If you don't believe (without evidence) that you are living in the last of the last days then the Watchtower says you are not a worshipper of Jehovah.
Basically all they are doing is making another prophecy claiming to know which part of the last days they are currently living in, they can't help themselves.

Sektenkult, my understanding is that if you set up a non profit entity (in Australia) then any profits and monies cannot be syphoned off to an ordinary Company where monies can be held, owned, used or distributed to shareholders by the Directors as they see fit within their own constitution. America is fairly similar but I stand to be corrected.
If the non profit entity is forced or needed to dissolve, the money and assets would need to be transferred to another non profit, it's in their constitution which is a requirement to allow them to be a non profit and receive all the tax benefits. Whereas, with an ordinary, private company the Directors dictate ownership and control.
The properties in Brooklyn were owned by the Watchtower, as a non profit organization. Who knows how much money they are putting into ordinary Company structures. It's interesting that they have a seperate donation box for their proposed media compound and it's an easy way to legally divert donations into a Comany which is not a non profit.

Elders given immunity for sins in the past???

Another possibility in the KH shakeup is so that hundreds of Elders and MSs can be reassigned so that CSA court cases become more difficult. Which congregation do you sue, if it even exists now and which Elders do you call for questioning.
