  Just so confused.............

  hello everyone....i'm new here.. i was raised as a jw until i turned 19 when i decided to stop attending the meetings.

  i just rathered not think about it for a few years.

  now, i'm married and my husband and i are searching.

  Hi and welcome to the board.

  They even asked if they could "save me".

  No one can save you. That is something that is between you and God. They can give you support but that is all. It took me nine years to even consider going to another religion. Once I realized that I would not be attacked by demonz and relaxed, My mind began to open up and allow clear thinking. The main thing is to study the bible yourself and then go from there. Don't let anyone to pressure you into doing something you are not ready or willing to do.

  i haven't gone to a meeting in 8 years (except for 1 funeral - never again).

  personally it feels like it's been 10 years since i've gone.

  so much has happened since my last meeting.

  I still have 10 years to go to be out as long as I was in. I will be 44 when that happens. The last time I went I got insulted so I never went again.

  i for one, love photography!!!

  yes, i was in camara club for 2 years in high school.

  proud to say a lot of my photos ended up in my senior year book!!!

  I am just getting into it. My hubby bought me a Cannon Rebel 2000 for Christmas last year. Along with tri-pod and a extra lens(78-215mm). This past christmas he got me two filters for it. 1 polarizer and 1 diffuser. I love my camera. I will get more as time goes.

  anybody go to another church yet?

  having left 18 months ago .

  i still feel a spiritual need in the way that i do beleive there is a creator and after having done a lot of research on bible arecheaology i beleive the bible is correct.

  however we have been taught so much dogma amongst christianity have any of you got to the point yet of going to any other religious meeting.

  Yes, I started going to a Assembly of God church about 3 years ago. I love it. No one judges you on how you look or dress. You are accepted just as you are. There is a diversity of people that go there. Young ones who dress in all black with all sorts of pierceing. Some dressed in bib coveralls( my husband). Even the pastor dresses casual. He doesn't like to wear ties. Whites and blacks all mingled together and are friends. The whole time I have been going there I have never heard a sermon preached on a negative term. It is all about love, careing for one another and God accepting you for who you are. And how to have a better relationship with God. All sermons have been uplifting. When you leave church you actually feel good about yourself and want to return to church the next service. I just love it.

  i,m new to the site, my friend mouthy and i have knowen each for 37 years we lived in montreal ,now in ontario.i was a weak jw and she was sent to me to make me a strong one,i don,t know that it work, but we are good friends.and she is still helping me ,to get on this line.

  i met some of you last week end at swiss chalet,hi gang.
