Thanks, Alfred! This might come in handy.
so a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.

Lol@ 0.00001% You're an optimist aren't you, BOTR?
It was also a ruling for the Witnesses that helped overturn Prop 8 in CA.
really do appreciate the excellent info shared on the site...this network of such a dubious bunch, has provided much needed therapy .... .
anyhow,i would like to share my dilemma.... i recently went to court.i petitioned for sole and legal custody and more child support.. i was granted more support, however custody wasnt even reviewed..i prepared extremely well for this hearing.
actually that was my priority.
I have no experience with child custody or divorce. But it sounds to me like the judge is waiting to see if this continues, since it's a recent development. So don't give up hope, it'll take some time. But I can't imagine a judge being okay with his not showing up while you're out of town or taking the kids out of town without telling you. Document everything, e-mails, phone records, when he doesn't show, etc.
vow of obedience.
today i uploaded a document issued in year 2002 to members of the religious order of jehovahs witnesses.
this document highlights something new watchtower began requiring of members of this order.
"The Order"?? Wth? My culty sense is tingling! How many JWs have ever seen that paper before they got up in the ranks high enough to sign it?

the english version first (my translation, sorry) and then the spanish version for anyone to check.. i believe that it would be good for someone to contact ms. maria amelia chiofalo and ms. nadia fernandez.
they would truly listen.. the legislature of cordoba, argentina, passed a law that is aimed at creating a program to assist cult victims, for which purpose an interdisciplinary team will be created with doctors, psychologists, attorneys with special knowledge on the issue, for the comprehensive study and approach to assisting victims.. .
This is awesome! I love that they focus on methods not beliefs, that's the key. No religion should have to use manipulation or information/mind control to recruit. And even if JWs weren't banned, the information campaign would hopefully make people more aware of those methods and they might recognize them in JWs. I wonder if this could lead the way for people to sue these groups.
Seems like Argentina is ahead of the US in a lot of ways. Didn't they legalize gay marriage last year?

in the late '60's early 70's there were individuals in malawi that were being persecuted(as we were taught) for serving jehovah.. all through this time we were constantly updated on how these individuals for their belief in jehovah were suffering greatly.for their witness and testimony was what they said.. but you know the real reason they were being persecuted?because the government wanted them to register for a card stating that their government was providing them food.. the governing body had told these poor souls that if they signed the card they would be saying that their trust was in man and not in jehovah, because jehovah is the only one who provides food.. here's the truth: malawi being a poor country(as other poor countries in africa)was recieving food from the world food bank.the requirement of the card was so the food bank could issue out the correct amount of food that the government would need to feed it's people.
that's what it was for,but these men sitting here in america taking nolthought of what was going on in the world threw these people to the lions.. how do you think the government would react when these people refused to sign?but these same people would be looking for the food the government provided.. .
Yeah, that doesn't quite add up. Maybe it was used to get food, but I don't think that's the reason they were persecuted. Still a disgusting stain on WTBS considering Mexico, the UN, and "mercy not sacrifice".
Btw, has anyone ever seen the actual card? Know where I could find it?

the youtube video below is a 'best of' compilation from a british tv show called 'the scheme'.
i'm told it's like a scottish version of 'jersey shore'.
That buckfast looks a bit like boone farm, lol! Available in the same size too.
I couldn't understand them either besides a few words. What struck me, their apartments are nice. I saw granite countertops and wood floors. I'm jealous. I've got laminate and linoleum.

Great post! "He that is faithful in least" comes to mind.
we had a tornado watch today.
my dad called to check on us and tell us they had what he thought was a tornado near their house.
the tops of some trees went missing.
Thanks y'all for the comments. I hope one day something I've said or something will happen that makes them pause and really think about things. Oth, I would have thought my sister and I being df'd would have done that, but seems it just pushed them further in. In the mean time, all I can do is take what I can get while still protecting myself.
Mamalove,
I didn't think you were df'd. It's despicable to say that to a child! She couldn't have told you that? Ugh. Maybe email her that Awake about not having to lose family over religion and ask her why that doesn't apply to you. It's absurd the things they can do and say and call it love. The grandkids-- they were all born out of wedlock, which I suspect influenced their decision; could've been seen as approval, you know? Funny thing is, my sister and I have each been with the same guys for the past 6 years. It's not like either of us were sleeping around and getting knocked up by different dudes. Amazing how important that little piece of paper is to some people. But really, I don't think being married would have changed that either. I've seen some df'd friends' parents have been at their children's births. My parents take a stricter stance on it. Making Jehovah happy-- their reward will be great!
