  In general, what is the ethically correct response if a minor tells you someone is molesting him/her?

  i was thinking about what the elders are trained to do versus what i personally would do if a minor confided in me that someone was molesting him/her.

  i'm not sure what the ethically correct first response should be.

  my first thought is to contact some kind of law enforcement that specializes in investigating situations like this with people experienced in getting to the truth of the matter.

  According to the people who knew Sellers, the Geoffrey Rush bio-pic was dead on. Director Blake Edwards, who did several movies with him could barely stand the guy.

  got into a discussion with my mom after a sister (that lives down the street from me) went back and told her some things that i said.

  after me and mom got done having a deep discussion on the phone, i asked my mom a simple questions: who writes the watchtowers?

  i've been going to the hall since i was three, and i have yet to have this questions answered.

  Did the organization become more mean spirited after the Elders were appointed?

  my wife and i walked out of the jw world when we were in our early twenties.

  this was in the mid 1960's.

  we had pioneered where the need was great and i held three positions in our small congregation: assistant presiding minister, ministry school servant and bible study servant (as we were called then) .

  One aspect of the "elder arrangement" ('73 as I recall) was that the judicial committee of 3 would rotate in a different elder each year. The previous set up kept the same three men, sometimes for years.

  Many new elders simply didn't have the experience to handle the type of stuff coming at them. On top of this, in the mid to late seventies the FDS foolishly began to dabble in developing a sexual Talmud for the flock to follow. What a B..F...... mess!

  well, i walked in and got the love-bombing before i even made it past the foyer.

  everyone's missed me, everyone's thrilled that i came, blah, blah, blah.

  Does Anyone Know How To Drain Blocked Inner Ears?

  i just got over a bad sinus infection.

  both of my inner ears are filled with fluid as a result.

  i simply cannot get them to drain.

  Not sure if this is the same as what is often called 'swimmers ear" when water gets way inside and won't come out. A sure cure is to have someone put a few drops of plain old 70% rubbing alcohol in the affected ear while laying on your side. I used the method a couple of times and the relief is immediate.

  this is one of the most aggressive watchtowers i think i have ever read.. four study articles on not "following the crowd" not following unrealities(page 13) not following false teachers, meaning apostates of course(p 15).

  avoiding false teachers means "refusing to read their literature, watch tv programs that feature them, examine their web sites, or add comments to their blogs.

  I have been out a long tme. This thread is of special interest to me. I have a couple of questions...

  This being the middle of April I am surprised that a July 15th WT is available. I recall getting the mags 5 or 6 wks before the cover date. Is this the standard mailing sched. now?

  From info received here I understand that there are public and publisher versions of the WT. Are the above discussed articles in the public version?

  I would like to have a copy, could I obtain one 'over the counter" or would I have to get one through a publisher?

  Thanks for any clarification.
