  Circuit overseers acting like bigshots

  i always felt that circuit overseers always acted as if they were some type of celebrity at the hall.people damn near worshipped these people.

  i always felt like we should worship god and not these people or the governing bodyw while i was still in.. this was probably my process of eventually leaving..

  Even little minnows feel like big fish when in a small pond. Many of these men never graduated from HS. The deference they are paid by the rank and file can completely distort their self image. I have known a few.

  watch the video closely. It very cleverly attemps to hide the fact this is (my guess) a space of about 400 sq. ft. and probably shares a WC with several other shops. This is just a little more impressive than a folding table and chairs in a corner of the airport check in lobby.

  They should add a little hot tub behind the partition for impulse baptisms.

  Should I just DA or get DFD?

  my never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.

  i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.

  i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.

  Why do JWs stay despite doubts & discoveries about JW Beliefs?

  if we are going to create a pie chart with the following categories, what could be the main components-reasons and their respective percentages for just staying in the organization in spite of the doubts, discoveries about the jw doctrines/beliefs?

  i doubt if the topmost reason is because of love of jehovah god and his son jesus christ.

  your inputs dear friends and fellow brothers will be most appreciated.. a. below 40 years old.

  You are sitting in a theatre surrounded by friends and family, watching a movie that is so bad you want to scream. You look around at them, all enthralled, munching popcorn and slurping soda. You have already used the potty excuse and tried to kill time in the lobby but they came looking and you had to go back. Now you are thinking about leaning over and whispering "this is crap, I'm leaving"

  i was in this forum breifly about 7 years ago.

  probably no one remembers me, and the people back then probably aren't even still here...but i need to make an amends anyway for what i did.. i've been in recovery (12 step) for a couple of years now to deal with my behavior issues.

  in other words, i try to make right what i've done wrong to others.

  I saw it live. I was 17.

  I had been working as a boxboy at the Shopping Bag supermarket in Sylmar Ca. when Kennedy was shot. The busy supermaket full of people came to a standstill when the radio broadcast was piped over the PA system. My shift ended within an hour. I walked home and my mother had the TV on. Really couldn't comprehend what the hell was going on. Stayed glued to the TV for days. Remember no commercials for a few days?

  The Ruby incident was so bizarre.

  It had only been a few months after the Cuban missile crises and I still remember the panic of panic grocery buying at my job that night.

  so over the last 5 - 7 months as some may know i have resigned as an elder and just came to a cold stop going to the meetings.

  brothers call i wont answer the phone.

  if they come by i just wont answer the door.
