  anyhow, it's interesting to get another viewpoint that doesn't revel in fear porn.. tritium in the water isn't a world ender, either.

  not soon after i faded, i was on a company shindig and they were providing hand rolled cigars to everybody there.

  i watched in amazement as this dominican guy rolled them in front of my eyes with great care and skill.

  Yesterday I met a poster from JWN

  about 4 months ago i pm'd poster "emma" because i noticed she was from the same state i grew up in.

  i told her about myself and where i grew up, i was not a jw growing up but she was.

  as we communicated we eventually realized that we were from the same neck of the woods and then even from the same high school and graduating class.

  History of the WBTS interpretations of the feet of Daniel 2

  been doing some research on this.. back in ctr's day the feet of clay and iron symbolized (i think) the ten kingdoms: http://www.bible.ca/pre-miller-1843-ellen-white.gif.

  by 1958 they believed what they do now, that it's the anglo american dual world power: http://www.a2z.org/wtarchive/docs/1958_your_will_be_done_on_earth.pdf (pdf page 126).. but does anyone know what year the wbts started believing that the feet of clay and iron symbolized the anglo american dual world power?.

  My earliest recollection was the book "Your Will Be Done on Earth" based on the book of Daniel. It contained the illustration of the idol and the identity of each world power it represented.

  I believe this book also covered the Kings of the North and South. (US and the Soviet union) and what would transpire between them.

  if you had a miraculous, unexplained escape from death..

  plus you were not baptised but grew up in a jw family, stopped attending or studying for 30 years then attempted to go back for a couple years.

  the attempt had serious negative effects on your marriage, and personality, so you decided to stop all studies etc, for the time being ( over a year).

  but with the full intention to return later and be baptised.. this miraculous, unexplained escape from death was discovered to have occured during this time of complete detachment from studies etc.. what would you feel explained this escape?
