I was told from a family member who was talking to a long time jw who visits us that 60% of the people we knew from the Kingdom Hall are gone. It got me thinking how when I was teenager, I knew a lot of JW's who ever the years left the religion young and old alike. Seeing walking the street today, many seem to just goes through the motions of life and it is depressing to see. I am glad that I am out.

I remeber when this first came out I had to watch since it was geared toward young people. I was 13 at the time. Looking back I am glad I never got baptized. looking back the movie is just creepy.I cannot at that time I believed it whole heartedly. Now I only feel anger at how the movie just makes youths feel that expanding one's mind is a bad thing.

Are you an athiest and why?
by LouBelle ini'm interested in finding out people's reasons as to why they are athiest.. i have simply through life experience, my research into religions over the years come to that conclusion.
never thought i would come to a day that i did not believe in a god.
believing in a god is like believing in super man, it would be great if he existed but well it's just a fairy tale.

I started to become in 2008 and finally was one in 2009. I had doubts at 15 and started to ask a lot of questions. I then in 2009 finall became atheist after realizing I could truly feel the presence of God. I then in western Civ class realized the many other God's of times past. I used to ask family members if God exists then what about aliens, werewolves and monsters? I put God in the same category as Fairytale creatures.

It came my sociology class in 2008 during my freshmen year in college. I had doubts before, but once I was college doing research I came to see the truth and I was both hurt and confused for a long time. Then an incident came up with some elders, then I left soon after.
