  Does the Issue of Universal Sovereignty make sense to you as an explanation for evil?

  it used to for me, and now it doesn't.. i'm not sure how i was able to accept that argument now that i don't, but perhaps it was connected with my increasing compassion for people and their personal suffering as i've grown older.. now it seems like a sick excuse.

  more like a bar-bet with satan and all of creation suffers.. i read paul's words and he has no rejoiner except to say in effect "sucks to be a vessel of wrath...glad i'm not one, but who are you to complain anyway, huh?

  who's bigger, smarter and more powerful than you, you, you complaining vessel of wrath, you.

  Definition of "Negativity" according to JWs

  i recently had a falling-out with a jw which i won't go into because it is nonsense really.

  in one of the pathetic retorts i was told i was "negative".

  this wasn't the first time i heard this from a jw over the years.. what i have noticed is that it is because i spoke about real life situations in the world and/or problems and wrong things in the religion.

  It is a new campaign they are spreading to their followers that was expressed on the 2nd day of the 2day CA.

  Basically "Shut the Hell Up" about finding out certain truths about the "truth" and if you don't like it, you know where the door is.

  in 1974 i had moved to california from texas and my nowhere jw janitor job to a real career in a field i loved.

  (art).

  i had packed my jw wife and 3 kids in my 1970 ford maverick and drove into the unknown.. mind you, this was on the very eve of a very "important date in human history".

  i found this list below on another site.. you've no doubt seen these lists...or lists similar to them: they give you marked ways to identify a cult.. now, i'm sure many of us agree that these signs eerily match a certain watchtower-slangin' group we're all familiar with.. and im sure that what i'm about to bring up has probably been discussed here sometime before 'my' time.. but, look at these 'cult i.d.

  symptoms' below...and let your mind go.

  Do you have to be "in the right"?

  for one reason and another i've noticed recently that jw's just have to be in the right about everything.

  not just their religon, they have to be in the know and correct about everything.

  cannot bear to be told they are wrong.. i reckon its that jw superiority complex " i'm right and if you don't agree well god will shortly kill you and i'l get your house!".
