Yes, Brother Elder, it all started when a worldly co-worker invited me to her home to see her aquarium.
Elder: We don't believe you! Your story sounds fishy to me!
last night i was watching the secret elder's video about the jw who sleeps with a worldly women and i could not stop laughing.. when i was 17 i thought that all worldly women would sleep with anyone, i remember a beautiful neighbor who i tried to kiss and she just flat out said no.
i tried twice to make out with this girl and i just could not understand why she would not say yes .
she did not have an aquarium.... .

Sylvia, this is just a calculated guess, of course. A theory.
I think they just wanted to steal the plane, to use it for some mission later on. The 777 costs about $300 million US. It can fly more than halfway around the world without refueling. If it can carry several hundred passengers, then it can carry instead lots of cargo (weapons etc.).
Now, let's use our imaginations and pretend WE want to steal this plane. How would we go about it? How would we gain access to it - and how would we get it off the ground? Pretty much any runway long enough would be controlled by a tower. And we'd want to steal it with the fuel tanks full. So really the best/easiest time to steal it is when it has been fueled up, thoroughly checked by the ground crew, and cleared for takeoff as a scheduled flight. Airport security has checked the passengers to make sure none of them have weapons or anything that could interfere with our mission to steal the plane.
So, we take off. Once we get outside of our departure airport's airspace, that controller no longer needs to talk with us. Typically at this point the controller will tell the pilot to change to a different frequency so that he can talk to the controller for the next airspace he is entering. In other words, one controller "hands you off" or "hands you over" to the next one. It's sort of like when you're on the phone and the person tells you they're going to transfer you to another department. Sometimes there's a pause before you're connected with the next department. So with the airliner, this hand off would be a good time for us to shut off the communication equipment. Controller #1 has "hung up his phone" so to speak and controller #2 is waiting for us for start talking. Now, if we drop off the radar they're going to assume we're going DOWN. So let's fool them and go UP. Way up, higher than where normal flight activity takes place, as high as we can get this plane to climb. OK we got up here, now the passengers might start to get suspicious so let's put on our oxygen masks and quickly immobilize the passengers by depressurizing the cabin just enough to deprive the passengers of oxygen. This way, they will all get drowsy and then pass out within seconds. There! Now none of them can make phone calls or send text messages. In another minute or so they will all painlessly and silently die from lack of oxygen. Now we just have to keep evading the radar - possibly with the help of other terrorists who are in other aircraft scrambling signals - and we're on our way to our destination. Upon arrivial we'll just despose of the dead passengs, and we have ourselves a nice big plane to use as we wish. It is not unusual for controllers to ask other airborne planes to be on the lookout for a lost or unresponsive aircraft. Good thing those other pilots are our fellow terrorists! As they wave to us from their cockpit they tell air traffic control they do not see anything.
the pilots and crew of the missing plane, was something wrong with all of them?.
sylvia.
ShirleyW, they pilots could have somehow quickly incapacitated all the passengers to prevent them from making calls. One thought is, if the pilots put on their oxygen masks then adjusted the cabin pressure from the normal 8000 ft to something higher like 18000, in which case all passengers would pass out in seconds. Maybe that's why they first climbed to 45,000 feet? The 777's service ceiling is about 41 or 42,000. Above that, there's not enough air molecules for the engine to function right and for the wings to carry the weight of the aircraft.
ok so we might be moving to fl.
wife wants to get away to start over.
i also want to move but at the right time and to the right place.
Let us know which areas you will be visiting and when, if you want to meet up at a restaurant or something.

No! Don't listen to them! Write to the Society and request a list of "seldom worked territories". Then ask the elders to help you choose from that list.
Just kidding.
Lots of good advice in this thread.
per co last night, he mentioned in his talk that in oder for a brother to be recommended as an elder or ministrial servant he must have a regular and meaningful family worship night.
this will demostrate his willingness not to miss that important meeting and preside over his household.. so i thought, wow what a way to add to the "inspired" biblical list of qualifications.
serving jehovah is sounding more and more and more organizational..
I remember back in 2005 or so, there was talk about Family Worship night being a requirement for appointment. That was before the book study was elimated; they expected brothers to conduct a family bible study and it was supposed to be like a formal meeting. Everyone dressing up in meeting clothes and so on. Even if they were away on vacation for a week.

Um....aren't you supposed to move to where the need is greater? Learn a different language, sell all your belongings.......?
Just kidding.

Come to Tampa! I've been here since 1989. Job market is relatively good, housing is good, lots to do and see....feel free to PM me.
i was listening to a conversation of jws recently about how trusting they are with each other and how out in "the world" you have to be ever so careful that you don't put down your purse or wallet for a minute otherwise it will be stolen.. i entered the conversation with an experience that one of my close friends had.
(true story) he was in a public place with a wallet with significant amount of cash and bank card, credit card, id, etc.. somehow he lost or misplaced the wallet, panicked of course.
he went to the police, cancelled all his cards and thought it was gone for sure.
Yeah, when I had a book study at my house I would notice things missing after everyone left.
I had a close friend, a disabled brother, who told me this story that happened to him. He had gone shopping in Walmart and used one of their scooter/wheelchair things. He was able to stand and take a few steps, but he couldn't walk and carry things at the same time. Someone had driven him to the store. Well when he went thru the checkout line he stood up to pay. Then when he sat down in the scooter he put his wallet in the basket rather than in his pocket. Then he got into the other person's car, along with his items, but left his wallet behind.
It wasn't till he got home and his ride had left that he realized he had left his wallet behind. He called the store; they said it had not been turned in but they would call him if it did appear. But then someone came to his door. It was "worldly" people who had found the wallet. They had just come thru the checkout line, saw the wallet and reasoned that a disabled person had left it. So they looked inside for ID and immediately went to his home with it, to return it, on their way home from the store. Everything was intact. The brother was relived, of course
There are plenty of honest "worldly" people out. Not all of them are demon possesed immoral criminals, as the WT tries to scare members into believing.
