Could it be likely that this is happening now? Anyone who states that "Jehovah will take care of it" or "Leave it to Jehovah to handle this" never seems to comprehehend that just maybe He is doing just that now.

ummmmm how to put this?

i'm leaving and moving on from this community, obviously to the great delight of many of you, however, for all the other more genuine characters, may i extend a hand of appreciation for all the help that you have given me at times.. to be honest, this place makes me feel more ill often than better, it feels like i'm sliding backwards the longer i stay around.. maybe one day i'll return when attitudes from those who could be more socially responsible actually make their nessarsary changes rather than constantly being on the attack against those who have no other agenda but a desire to help out their fellow man, regardless of religion, creed, sexual orientation or whatknot.. to those friends that i have made here, please feel free to email me anytime and/or if ever you need any help personally, please do not hesitate to call upon me.. cheerio, keep your chins up.. peace & whatknot(?).

there was a story i used to tell a lot about a scientist who worked in the nuclear power industry.

this scientist had a job of public relations and would go around to different groups around the country.

he was afraid to fly anywhere though, so the company provided him a chauffer to take him from city to city.. somewhere in the course of giving the same speech over and over again, the chauffer tells him: doc, ive heard you give this same speech now a couple of dozen times, and i have it memorized word for word.

get this.. a knock at my door... i answer it, it's a sister who claims to be anointed.

i used to study with her but lost contact for awhile after i moved.

so anyway, she is standing in my doorway making idle conversation and manages to ask her way into my living room.

we have all heard all the crap about 666, now does anyone have any conjecture or idea about 616?

i have only heard of one possible conclusion to this so far.

616 is generaly found in the oldest manuscripts.

A (sort of) introduction

wow, i haven't posted on here in a long time... i lurked, back in the winter of '00, and posted in early '01 a few times.

looking back on those posts, and other stuff written, it amazes me how much can change... i thought to integrate myself into this web community i'd tell some of my story.... i was not raised in the truth.

i fell in love with a jw boy when i was 20 and married him.

Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. It IS a great burden lifted off of my shoulders to admit that I don't have all the answers to all of life's questions. I am getting the sense that you are relieved as well.

No one here has to justify their actions. You were true to yourself and that is what I think God really wants from all of us anyway. So have fun, stick around and I hope to see you in chat again soon.

Can you be Df'ed without a JC?

as most of you know, i quietly left the borg and moved countries.

recently i heard from an ex jw back in my former country of residence that she had heard i had been df'ed and it was announced at a meeting... can they do this?

if it is true that is!

I can tell you this:
1 I was inactive for about 2 yrs and had moved from Florida to Texas.
2 I joined the US Air Force
3 Shortly after (within a few months) I was told by a friend of mine
that I had been disfellowshipped.
4 I called the congregation and they confirmed.

No JC, No letter, and I had always thought that if they knew of my actions, it would at least merit a statement of disassociation.

I really don't care anymore, but it did happen to me. Would it really surprise anyone if they broke their own rules "for the benefit of the congregation" anyway?
