it is amazing how far feched and distorted somepeoples views are.
what do you think of dragons post from beyond the watchtower?
can someone else take a stab at this one, im curious to see you thoughts on his post.
I knew I should have spell checked that I was in a hurry at the time and just typed it up to respond to a friend. Same thing happened when silentlambs sent out that post I put up one time. Had I known it was going to go public, I would have tried harder. LOL

As a side note ...
Do you want me to really embarrass you by stating all that I have done this year for this cause, or totally destroy you by telling you all that I have done in my life for this cause?
Just wondering

Sorry, I am not some "stupid" person that you can mess with. Thanks for proving my point too, you have reenergized my feelings on this matter greatly.

You walk into the Kingdom Hall and someone comes up to meet you. They say, "it is nice to see you again" and shake hands. You have not been to a meeting in months, so despite the simplicity of what was said, you hear "where the hell have you been, nice of you to join us." I know this example might seem extreme, but I can remember so many examples of people misunderstanding people inside the congregation, that I laugh. People were constantly being pulled into the back room for the "I heard you said this" and the "someone mentioned you said this to so in so" speech.
What is so funny in all this is something I remember from an old movie called "Stand by me." In the movie these kids break into a junk yard, and when they are caught and the dog chases them. They hear only what they wanted to hear, "chopper sick balls" and they run harder and with more fear. I thought the irony in the whole thing, was once they jumped the fence and looked back, it was some dog just goofing around and looking as normal as any mutt out there.
It seems to be human nature at times to want to put thought to other people's words. I do not know how many times in my life I have heard, "this is what you said, but we know what you meant." What I love about this statement, is these people claim to know me, sometimes more then I know myself. I say this, as more often in not "what I said is what I meant." If I said "hello", I meant it! If I said "you look nice in that dress" I meant that too. Yet, I can not count how many times my life has revolved around misunderstandings over things I "meant" and did not know I "meant" them. Why do you think that is?
I guess I could go into this theory and that theory, but the one that works for me is this. We hear what we want to hear. If we are insecure, we hear more thoughts to support that. If we are angry, we hear thoughts that build on that. If we are happy, we hear thoughts that build that too. So perhaps the reason I "mean" less than people thought, is because I kept it simple. I say what I think in the exact words I wanted and do not try to put hidden meanings into everything. If I want to say it, you will hear it.
So if I have a dog name "chopper" and you are running from him and you swear I said "chopper sick balls", well with me .... I would suggest you run faster, as my dog has got a target you don't want messed with. Because I hear what you say, and mean what I say without picking it apart to be something else. Do you do that?

the simpsons has got to be my favourite animated series of all time.
obviously, all of the main characters are pretty good (my favourite main character is homer, dohhh!
so for the simpsons fans here, who is your favourite secondary character?.
I liked the episode where the kids went to the neighboring town of Shelbyville to get their lemon tree back, and there were people like them over there. Reminds me of how every JW congregation had the same characters were every you went.

ever notice that most posts are during "work" hours?
lol.
glad we can do something to lighten up at work!
I post while working. Lucky me!!!
i went from the jw's and got heavy into martial arts.
i have a black belt in kenpo karate, tkd, and kenjitsu and also hold ranks in jujitsu and other lower ranks in other systems.
i learned ages ago it is nothing evil like witnesses said it was, and have actually trained a few ex-jw's in my time.
I have Witnesses some amazing things like this with my own eyes with the Kenpo Grandmaster I studied under. It is really very amazing. The mind is are most powerful tool, and in some cases weapon.

recently i was watching a documentary on this woman who claimed that she could heal people with the power of her mind.
the documentary went into interviewing people about their experiences, and many of them actually had medical signs of improvement that could be documented and shown.
while watching this, i was seeing it as a example of psychic energy healing someone?
I find it interesting that every time someone mentions psychic power and energy, people challenge it with skepticism. In my experience, I believe and that is all that matters. I do not sell myself to people, and I do not expect others to follow. I do though wish more people accepted something at least a little, if for no reason other then ... the possibility!
Again, the skeptic will never produce enough results to settle their mind. On the other hand, does that really matter to the believer.
No, not really.

it is however many years ago that it takes to put you back to the witness years .... .
you come home from doing some grocery shopping, with a gallon of milk in hand.
you place it on the counter, and turn to open up the refrigerator door.
It is however many years ago that it takes to put you back to the Witness years ...
You come home from doing some grocery shopping, with a gallon of milk in hand. You place it on the counter, and turn to open up the refrigerator door. When you turn around, it is in a new place, several feet from where you remember. You think "that is odd", but figure your memory must be failing. You grab it and place it in the frig and go back to putting away the rest of your groceries.
A few minutes later you are done and you decide a glass of milk sounds good. So you open the fridge, pour a glass and put the milk away. You turn around and the glass has tipped over and spilt. Okay, you think this is weird. Again, you credit it to some clumsy mistake and clean up the mess and go back to the frig for that milk again. This time you pour and make sure that you carefully avoid spilling again. You keep an eye on the glass this time as you place the milk back into the fridge. It is still there, and the glass is full!
You go to pick it up and it slides away and off the end, as if some unseen force has grabbed it and taken it away. The fridge opens and the gallon of milk drops out and pours all over the floor until it is gone.
Being a good little Witness you think "demons" and begin praying out loud that Jehovah save and protect you. You are dripping in the sweat of panic, and standing in milk and broken glass. Everything is calm again. You are crying and scared to death though, so you continue praying and walking from the kitchen. You go to the living room and sit, thinking that demons have attacked you. You do not move for hours, until you fill calm enough to watch some television to calm nerves.
The television comes on and you flip through channels to the news. The news lady comes on and says, "we have a consumer warning this evening, if anyone has purchase milk today. Please check to make sure that it is not this brand, as people have been becoming deathly sick from drinking it." You sit in shock and walk into the kitchen, and pick-up the empty milk carton and sure enough, it was the brand they mentioned.
... what am I getting at here. Well from my experience as a Witness and even with some Ex-Jw's. I have noticed a tendency to think anything from the spirit realm or associated with it, is "demons." It is as if no Witness, even though they believe in angels, would accept something like the above event as helpful. Rather they would see it as evil, and pray for help from "Jehovah."
Now in my experience and exit from the Witnesses, and Christianity. I have noticed that most religions accept the fact, to some degree, that their is a spirit realm and after life. What I find interesting with that though, is that Witnesses seem to be the main ones you consider that evil. Anytime something happened, it was "demons", without even looking into the facts.
So I was wondering, how do you feel about the spirit realm now. Are you like the Witness of your past, as shown above, who had things happening, but could not figure out the warnings. At least until it got more bold and noticeable. Or, are you like the Witnesses who saw the news and realized something was trying to help them, and keep them safe from something they did not know about yet?
This really has many applications, and I am interested in seeing what people think. Does the spirit realm affect our life in the physical life, or is it all demons playing mind tricks?
Just wondering
