Hi Rick

H2O got a similar threat from an attorney, Ms. So-and-so, to remove Farkel's "1914 for Dummies" and all "________ for Dummies" posts from H2O as a copyright infringement. We were threatened with legal action if we failed to comply with this demand. I felt H2O was too important to others to risk losing over an otherwise "freedom" issue, so I complied with their demand immediately.

I noticed that, but I didn't comply at all. This "threat" is just nonsense. They doesn't have any legal right to be the only ones using the word "Dummies". The only thing they can hope to do by threatening anyone using this word is proving they're the biggest dummies of all!

I also added "dummies" to the "CDA Sensor" software that filtered obscene language, that is why Farkel had to use "D*ummies" or something like that to get around it, LOL. I didn't care because I was simply fulfilling a technical legal demand, and "D*ummies" isn't the same as "Dummies" nor would it show up when the attorneys are searching for keyword "Dummies" on the search engines. (That's how they found Farkel's posts, because the simple html files for WWWBoard were on all search engines.) ;-)

A legal demand to remove the word Dummies????? What kind of legal demand is that????? They came to me with the same crap, and I told them to go fuck themselves - and come up with some evidence they were the only ones in the world allowed to use the word Dummies. They failed to produce evidence - and only produced new threats. So, they have no case. Thy're so stupid it stinks!

They mean business, Kent, and non-compliance could risk protracted litigation and losing the Watchtower Observer site, according to what someone I know familiar with law said.

They can go fuck themselves, Rick. I did NOT comlpy, and I do not plan to comply in the future. If some 3rd grade moron of an american lawyer believes he can threaten me in Norway with his bulshit American law, he's even more stupid than anyone believes.

They threatened, yes. I didn't comply. New threats, I told them to go to hell - and besides that - I demanded them to mail me in Norwegian, using Norwegian law - since I'm a Norwegian Citizen, is running a Norwegian Website on a Norwegian server in Norway.

I won't loose no site at all. They haven't sent me more stupid letters after they found out I published their insane demands and threats online - together with my remarks to them.

Maybe you should call it "1914 for D*ummies" and add an asterisk so when they check your site, it will fail to show the trademarked word? Just a thought.

I asked them to show me evidence of this "trademark". They failed to do so - and - as I said, they can go fuck themselves. The page is named "1914 for Dummies", and that's what the name will be in the future as well.

They can check as much as they want. I noted the page was a parody - both on the Watchtower and the IDG - which in their own special way is exactly as stupid both of them.

You never even acknowledged Aimoo's upgrade of server to where loading posts and posting is instantaneous. That tells me you have never even been there, and keep harping about the past. Why not live in the present? Pretending we're in the past will not make H2O revert back to its older mistakes or cause Aimoo's massive server and bandwidth upgrades to revert back to the slow site that got so many complaints!

Oh. please! What the fuck has the servers to do with anything?

“We’re gonna start with Bowfinger. This movie is an insult to the entire black population. First of all, it was written by Steve Martin, the whitest man in history. He’s so white that his hair is white too. And it ain’t because of age either. His hair’s been white since before the Jeffersons moved on up.

“And in this movie, Eddie Murphy plays two roles: one of a strong, black actor who’s the biggest star on the planet, and the other of his stupid brother who runs the errands for the white moviemaker played by Steve Martin. Of course, the movie is named after the white moviemaker. Can’t name it after a brother.

“You’d think that the honky moviemaker would be happy having his little Uncle Tom errand boy running around getting his coffee and shit, but no. He wants the strong, black actor. He’s gotta have all the black folks working for him. So he lies and sneaks around just like a white boy would do, and tricks the strong, black actor into being in his movie.

“And I know what you’re thinking: ‘But X, isn’t it good enough that there’s at least one strong brother in the movie?’ Hell no. Why? Because the strong, black actor is a fucking schizophrenic! Not only that, but he starts believing everything the white folks are telling him. That cracker, Martin, wants us to believe that if you ain’t hearing voices, you need to be following white folks around like a good, little houseboy. That just shows the level of white supremacy in Hollywood.

“Next movie: Mystery Men. You don’t have to look too hard to see this. A clan of scrawny-ass crackers led by an angry Jew, Ben Stiller, running around trying to be super heroes. And the only black brother on the team is the invisible one. Message: The only good black man is one you can’t see.

“And don’t tell me that there weren’t any subliminal racist jokes in there. For instance, they do most of their fighting at night. And of course, the black man’s got to be the invisible one; the one you can’t see at night. Very fucking funny. And upon meeting three of the crackers, the black kid tells his father that he’s going to his room with three strange men, and his father doesn’t even respond. Just sitting there watching TV and shit. They’re trying to tell us that all black fathers don’t care about their kids. And the worst of all: the black kid’s got a head full of blonde hair. Look like Dennis Rodman dipped in bleach. According to them, if you ain’t white enough, do what you can to make yourself a little whiter. Bunch of crack-ass crackers!!

“By now, you’re probably wondering why I’m only showcasing movies that didn’t exactly turn out to be huge hits. Well, what the fuck do you expect? I’m a militant black man who does a weekly anti-white show on public access television. I can’t afford to be renting all of those number one blockbusters at the video store. And my part-time job as the press secretary for the Arian Nation doesn’t pay nearly enough. I got to rely on what I find in the dumpster behind Vern’s Video Village and Frozen Yogurt Pagoda. So fuck you!

I remember I got something like this a long time ago myself, and it seems like just the same text, as far as I can remember.

Fact is the COC book has been promoted all over the net by sites like yours. I didn't even HAVE the material on my site, I believe I had a link to Ros' site. Personally I didn't even answer them.

As you said - Commentary Press and the Watchtower is the ones threatening us both. On top of that the I(diots)D(ummies and) G(oons)books threatened to sue me if I didn't remove a page called "1914 For Dummies". Their lawyers sent me a bill because I didn't react fast enough - and they found the page was still there. So, I told them to go fuck themselves, sue me, do what the fuck they wanted - but any mails from them would be filtered directly to where they should be - the trash!

I did send them the new URL to the page where I told the story - and the "1914 For Dummies" is still there, naturally :))

So, Ray Franz is in good compane! What a bunch of loosers!!!

I am perfectly aware what Simon is saying, and I'm perfectly aware that he feels it's too much "profanity". Regrettably you are trying the old "Red Herring" trick, since I just explained to you I don't accept your deceitful shit with "F" words and self-made rules of "profanity". Besides, I'm not Simon.

You said: If you can't respect his wishes, and those of other "guests" here, then I wonder what is your real motive for being here. What "other guests"? I know flawlessly well there are people here who don’t share my views, and I acknowledge that. I have no monopoly of the way of doing things. But maybe it would be a thought to scrutinize your own views. The reason for this is the fact you don’t either!

I do admit there is people her which I personally find so extraordinarily dense it amazes me they are able to tie their own shoe laces, and I’m not really sure they do. Some people here are in a group in need of a support group for “Ex-Humans”! And so what? They have the same right to express themselves as I do – or as you do. I don’t say they can’t say what they feel, and I never try to make others suppress their opinions.

Sadly you are among those lacking a great deal in the respect of communicating with others. You simply decline to answer to the questions put to you, either because you feel you’re too self-righteous to do so, feel the person asking is too stupid to deserve an answer, or you are too slow to grasp the question.

I don't think waiting's questions related to the questions I originally asked in the first post on that thread. She didn't answer the questions I asked. Instead she threw in unrelated and unsubstianted accusations. In subsequent postings, she became more and more sarcastic and nasty as her friend roamingfeline egged her on.

You are much more preoccupied what YOU feel. YOUR views are the ones that are to be observed, right?

I never said anyone should read my postings, and nobody has to. You do see what postings I have made, and you know perfectlu well these MAY include one of the 7 forbidden words in the English language. How come it’s so much worse saying fuck than promoting hate? How come suck me suddenly became “giving head” – and why is that more disgusting than reading about and watching people getting killed?

I find it a shame that the ones who posted away to their hearts' content on his board, are now ripping into him like street dogs.

That's not exactly what is happening, Prisca. I know this is your favorite subject, but I simply can't agree. Fact is many of us "posted away" on Rick's board. But it was Rick who started to "rip into" his own posters. As demonstrated by quotes posted by both Norm and myself above.

H20 was THE site to go for dissenting JWs and ex-JWs to come together and share thoughts and experiences. It was a real melting pot of people.

This is true, but so what? Life goes on - and things change. The old melting pots isn't there any more. Old ideas isn't valid, people travel on! What was the right thing yesterday isn't neccesarily the solution for tomorrows problems!

What ruined the meltingpot Rick made was the so called "moderation". Der Rick and his henchmen started up being more and more eager to delete, ban and rule. This is what is normal. Absolute power is corrupting - and they were corrupted.

Regulars such as Kent, farkel, Englishman, unclebruce, tina, waiting, ozziepost, You Know, and FredHall became the "personalities" of H20. For years they posted there. And now they are denigrating the guy who let them rant and rave for all this time.

Without a direct comparism Hitler did a lot of great things before he went crazy - and today everyone is talking about the bad things he did. Is that fair? Maybe, maybe not. I don't care - because that's life.

The fact that some people became "personalities" was THE problem for H2O, and frequent attacks of rabid insanity helped to the problem. We're not denigrating anyone - we just point out the REASON we left, and the REASON H2O IS DEAD NOW!

I do NOT say H2O won't become allive again. I doubt it - but I don't say it won't. But the rantings of Rick in this thread shows there is no change what so ever. He's lying, cheating, accusing others of his own faults, etc. Read what Norm and I posted, Prisca. They are Ricks own words - and compare to his lying self-pity!

Most of them came here. And they get away with more than they ever could on your board. I don't like profanity. I'm no prude, but I'd like to think that people can act with a bit of respect for others.

People should respect others. On the other hand, people need to learn how to handle differences of opinion, and they need to learn the real world isn't like Alice in Wonderland. What we get away with here or there is unimportant.

Profanity? What the fuck is that???? Americans gets offended by everything, Aussies by others - and some people at random. Personally I find it a profanity to state there is a god, and that I should believe in such a fantacy. I find it a profanity to be jufged by "Bible standards", since those standards are - in my opinion - perversities. I find it a profanity to write "**** off!" when someone - like beloved Rick - means FUCK OFF!

I might add that doing what Rick did by writing "**** off!" would be deleted on H2O. It was against the ever changing FPP to avoid the nazi robot!

Rick, I'm sorry that some people don't know how to gracefully walk away.

You've put a great deal of time and money into keeping H20 running. If the ones who have disputes don't like you and your DB, all they have to do is leave your site and post elsewhere.

That's just what we did - Prisca! And now that's no good either! I received a mail inviting me to come back, and that's OK. BUt I can't see no reason for never ending complaints I haven't done so at the time being!

That is utter pathetic. You may have another view on this, that's your perfect right. As I have the right to disagree. I don't agree that we should all pretend to be friends, when we honestly feel that this or that person is a complete fool and a bloody idiot. I can't see why I should accept the limited minds of others who will forbid me to use 7 words in the English language. I just refuse to be told I'm some kind of a bully just because I don't want to live as others feel I should live.

I don't say they should be like me - do I? Why should I change to please them? Why not simply accept the differences and live with it. Because that's what we have to do - no matter wether we like it or not!.

How many Christians underwent the fate of Schneider for their faith?
Paul Schneider encountered some of them en route to and within
Buchenwald. Claude R. Foster, Jr.'s PAUL SCHNEIDER-THE BUCHENWALD
APOSTLE has several letters and conversations wherein Schneider refers
to Jehovah's Witnesses (aka Bible Students) who were imprisoned on
religious grounds. Although he was at variance with their eschatology,
he wrote: "It must be said that they, as 'friends of God,' remain true
to their principles." Schneider rightly characterized the Witnesses'
victimization as being religiously based: "It is not correct to define
this religious movement, which is Bible-based, as a sect and thereby
justly deserving of persecution." (Foster, pp. 724, 773-4)

The regime could not countenance the Witnesses' position of political
neutrality, since this included their refusal to heil Hitler, join the
Party, and bear arms. Buchenwald, Sachsenhausen, and Ravensbruck each
held several hundred Witness prisoners, some of them having been
detained for nearly the entire duration of the regime. Pre-
war,Witnesses accounted for 5-10 percent of the camp population, this
according to Dr. Detlef Garbe, director of the Neuengamme Concentration
Camp Memorial.

The Nazis made both Schneider and the Witnesses a unique offer-freedom
in exchange for a signature. Schneider had to sign a declaration
recognizing the State's right to expel him from the Rhineland and
remove him from the pulpit. The Witnesses, in camps, prisons, and
juvenile detention homes, were to sign a declaration renouncing their
religious affiliation and agreeing to take up arms to defend the
fatherland. Immediate freedom was promised if they would sign the
documents. Neither Paul Schneider nor the vast majority of Witnesses
signed. Over 2,000 Witnesses shared Schneider's fate. Of these, 250
were formally charged and executed for their conscientious refusal to
bear arms.

The Nazi persecution of the Witnesses was clearly on ideological
grounds. As Alex Kimel made clear, the religious faith was slated for
eradication, not necessarily the people as a group. However, because of
the Witnesses' refusal to renounce their faith, they suffered the
treatment familiar to other targeted groups-marginalization,
sterilization, incarceration, torture, and execution.

Dr. Rohrlich is quite correct. My previous posting gives one clear
example of the disparate Nazi approach to their victims. The Jews and
other victims of the Nazi racial agenda, biological enemies, if you
will, were never dignified with an option for freedom. The Witnesses,
as I stated, were ideological foes. Had the Nazis slated them for
physical annihilation, the plan would have been fairly successful.
Roughly half of the Witnesses, or more than 10,000, were held in
prisons and camps and could easily have been liquidated.

Instead, the Nazis tried to play a psychological game by enticing the
Witnesses to abandon their convictions. In fact, Himmler for one hoped
to transfer their strong religious commitment from Jehovah to Hitler.
(To his convoluted mind, it was a shame to waste a zealous Aryan.)

The Declaration of renunciation went largely ignored by the Witnesses.
Moreover, the Nazis unwittingly granted the Witnesses something that
they sought to strip, not only from their victims, but from the entire
populace-freedom of choice. To the Witnesses, the document became a
rare opportunity to exercise control of one's destiny and conscience.
Frankl, Bettelheim, Staub, and Todorov discuss the process of
depersonalization that marks totalitarianism and that erodes the
exercise of free choice. The Nazis skewed their own strategy.

Incidentally, I discussed the similarities and differences of the
marginalization and victimization of Jews and Witnesses in a paper
presented in October at the Wewelsburg District Museum in Paderborn.
The proceedings of the forum, "Spiritual Resistance Out of Christian
Conviction," will be published (initially in German, later in English)
some time this spring.

In discussing the Witnesses' victimization, it must be remembered that
they were a tiny minority and that their persecutors had different aims
in mind for them. In discussing the Witnesses' response to Nazi
persecution, it is with the realization that others simply were not
offered the options that they were. And as far as the Witnesses were
concerned, they were only doing what any Witness would have done under
the circumstances, as Dr. Littell alluded to. If anything, the Witness
survivors I know are unconcerned with lionization. But they do wish
their story to be known for the lessons it might impart to any of us
who strive to find that difficult balance between strong convictions
(religious or otherwise) and tolerant inclusiveness.
