Does God really have a Name?

i find the name "jehovah" repugnant.

if i ever hear that name again i will surely throw up!

as if "jehovah" is god's real name anyway.

I have great difficulty using Jeh...
So I don't bother anymore.
God knows how I think and feel, he can tell when I am talking to him.
Worries, I have people get my real name wrong anyway, and it's only coz they cant say it properly, but I know they're talking to me.

Ha !! I've got no worries in that department.
In 7 years I've had 1 caller, it was an elder doing the street, so he didn't know I lived there.
I looked at him and said "No thanks, I'm alright Murray". He looked, the mind went whizz, said my name, spun around and left.
They have never been back since - Praise the Lord !!

Dad & Pink Floyd

my dad is in his early fifties.

he has always been a lover of music.

last year he gave me his guitar, the one i remember him always playing when he was home, except of course during dinner hehe.

Music does wonders I reckon.
My Dad was into Englebert. Your Dad sounds about the same age as mine. I got him into Dire Straits and Metallica.
But it is so good to have music linked with memories.
You should get into some guitaring.
Your Dad would trip out if you started playing "Shine on you crazy diamond".

My story is to long to tell......

i am new to this forum but i have for the past several days been reading posts from people that for the first time in 26 years have pasts, memories and feelings like my self.

suffice to say that i too was born and raised in "the truth".

i have at one time or another been, a ms, a vacation pioneer, a regular pioneer, a disfellowship individual, a re-instated individual, publicly reproved, privately reproved and finally for the past 7 years a man who they don't even come on my property cause he's a nut who might shoot you and will at the very least call the police and have you arrested for trespassing individual.. unlike so many others though i find no personal desire to rant or rage against the machine.

You are right man, you have come to a place where many of the people here have been thru the same thing as you.
I felt the same as soon as I started reading in here.
It is good to know you are not alone with what you are going thru.
7 years ago I felt like I was the only person going thru some major crap.
But now I see it's happened to many good people.

the wts in its march 22 issue of the awake!

magazine describes the czech republic as now "one of the least religious countries in europe".. pointing to the decline in adherents in the roman catholic church from 4 million to 2.7 million in 10 years and 32 percent and 46 percent drops in the evangelical and hussite churches, it fails to inform its readers of the situation in the organisation known as jehovah's witnesses.. i wonder why?.
