at least that's what they keep telling me, and they've been saying it for more than a month and a half now.

They are not so quick to reinstate,as to DF. Everyone has to wait who is this state. Time is on their side. If reinstatement is what you want, you will have to play this game.

here's the basic rundown:.

ok so little jw (21 going on 15) decides to get a job with a computer firm.

leaves family construction company to do so.

I watched last ight, and I do have some questions.

The son worked for his dad's business, and he couldn't afford to live outside of the home. He then apparently got a good job, but still couldn't get an appt?

Both son's didn't have any JW girlfriends, why?

The singing of the parents were too much.

In the real illusrtation, the son didn't work, he just squandered his money, came out empty.

Brothers who were held back from being elder for stupid reasons?

do you know of any cases where brothers didn't get to be elder for a stupid/bogus reason even though they otherwise qualified?

do you think some/most appointments are politicially motivated?

how much do you think politics plays in the appointment process versus merit?

One brother moved into our congregation, and was a COBE in his past congregation. He worked hard on a KH revation project, and he only averaged 7 hrs per month for those three months. The BOE, and CO all recommended him to serve as an elder, but the report came back as denied. The Branch wrote back to request that this brother increase his hrs to 10 a month before qualifying as an Elder again. Nobody had told this real reason to this poor brother. I moved away and thought that this matter was brought to his attention. He moved out of the cong, got to qualify, because the renovation was done, and the new cong appointed him. He spent years angry at the previous congregation, thinking that they weren't agreeable to his qualifications. What a waste of time for this industrious brother.

i know it is easy to go there, on this board, and blame the jehovah's witnesses.

but being a dad, i can tell you that being a teenage girl in this day in age is hard.

add to that, having such a famous father in your past with such strange stories attached to him.

I agree, this is a crazy world, and Paris must feel like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. I hope that she can learn to cope as she grows up fast.

My Grammy passed away this morning...

peacefully after a short bout with leukemia.

she was 88 years old and the foundation of my life.

she will be sadly missed by me and everyone whose lives she has touched.. .

This is the first time that I've heard it encouraging young baptisms. I never was in favor of this because how can you make such an important life decision at this age. Jesus set the example at being over his 30's. I think that the later teens may be alright time. But, you can't get married in a JW KH unless you are baptised.

The illustration starts at 10 years old, and then skipps to 16 yrs old when the kid is legally able to work at McDonald's. Instead of making a Big Mac, your child is making McService, with McFries. Do you want to Supersize that?

Tech49 on HOURS, TIME, and REPORTS

i thought i would share some of my observations on counting field service time, reports, etc.

and how those reports are viewed, to those that are still so fixated on numbers.. i served as secretary on the service committee for many years, and have seen it all!.

i was really disheartened when wt changed the requirement for aux pioneering to allow for 30 hrs, instead of the 50 it has been for so long.
