Haven't you ever seen, Survivor, or Celebrity Apprentice at the end of the show? What do you think about the comments of the ones who just got Voted off/fired? Don't they sound bitter, or one sided? It hard to present a story that is only one sided.
It would be better to present both sides. The ones surviving it, and the ones that left for not being able to live up to it.

I wanted to comment at the WT meeting at our cong. The WT conductor just skipped the section of the experience. The article seemed to focus
on the unbelieving mate, and being patient with his conversion. Some did bring up the footnote, re. it was ok to leave under violent conditions.
Our cong has over 10 failed marriages among believers....I think the conductor knew it was suicide to continue with that thought.

I know we have commented on this article many times, and again it still agitates me. It encourages physical abuse of women and sanctions it.

this question is really for elders or ex-elders (or ministerial servants in the know).... did you find that some elders would tend to "white-wash" the true state of the congregation when they had their sit-down with the co every 6 months?.
did some elders feel pressure to hide certain things from a co for fear of being "removed" from the boe?.
(judging by the "fakeness" that some elders displayed during co visits, i have to wonder whether they were really worried about being removed for not seeking out inactives or encouraging more participation during the wt study, book study or fs...).
Some CO's just would create problems, or be suspicious of them, and CO's were great friends that encouraged you.
We were trouble free, until the last ten years. Last year we must have had 10 negative announcements.

I have heard about the splinter groups in Russia and some attempts of the Society to restore some of them,
The ban of JW's had scattered many in different directions, and some became suspicious particularly after the ending of the 2nd world war.
Russel did plant a seed in Russia, but, the unity did get disturbed. That being said, the days of Rutherford did a lot to mess with the minds of sincere worshipers. Some wouldn't accept the new Awake, and Watchtower magaizines. They just kept on restudying the older publications.
I'm not sure how strong the groups became though, and the information was given to me 2nd hand.
The way it was explained to us in the introductory remarks, was.
The Zone Overseer, is a representation GB. Occasionally they will send him or a member of the GB themselves. They are investigation the branch, and offering suggestions and or recommendations.
The GB member started in saying that many on the GB loves Canadians, and they are taking turns to visit Canada, because Canadians are easy to love.

Just think about it, the one that shut that door on a JW, dies, and the JW is discouraged about that and doesn't witness anymore. The inactive JW dies at armageddon, and the one that slamed the door comes back in the resurrection. It sounds justifiable, eh?

Good point, Hoser, about that decrease in Aux Pioneers this year. There is certainly a large amount of KH buildings, and repairs going on.
