  according to the january 1, 1989 watchtower, our obligation to field service officially ended last year!:.

  The scriptures weren't included because most people know where they are (or at least remember them). But here they are for anyone to 'test.'

  I wasn't preaching a "you need to be saved" for people to read. It was more like "If you REALLY want to know him, this is how... "

  I understand what you are saying, however, apparently someone has asked how to know the Christ and my Lord wanted John 5:39, 40 quoted for the one who was 'asking.'

  If your spirit bears witness with it, please look them up. If not, that's ok too. This was mainly for the one who was 'asking.'

  How to REALLY know the "Christ of God"

  The Master spoke saying,

  "No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son. And to whomever the Son is willing, he reveals him."

  "He that has my words and observes them, that one is he who loves me. He that loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and I will PLAINLY SHOW MYSELF to him."

  So the Christ loves us and reveals himself to us, in turn the Christ who reveals himself will reveal his Father to whomever he wishes.

  Can't we learn everything we need to know about God and Christ from the scriptures?

  He said:

  "You are SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES.....

  (why would we 'search the scriptures?')

  "..BECAUSE you THINK that BY MEANS OF THEM you will get everlasting life....."

  (how many would argue "knowledge" of the scriptures means our 'life?')

  (and just what did he say the scriptures do?)

  "..And THESE are they that TESTIFY OF ME..."

  (So the scriptures are only a 'witness' or 'testimony' of him)

  "And yet, YOU WILL NOT COME TO ME that you may have life."

  (So you STILL have to 'come' to him to "have life")

  Once you recieve that 'life' from him, it is THEN that you know him.

  He said:

  "This is the 'life' IN ORDER FOR THEM TO KNOW YOU the only God, and the one whom you sent, Jah-Eshua the Anointed." (John 17:3 Kingdom Interlinear)

  This 'life' is still available to all of you to "partake" of so that you can FINALLY 'know' him.

  "What Is Truth?"

  a few of us have been conversing by email on this subject and i thought id throw it out for all to consider, as it affects all of us.. im interested in this subject as it is the question pontius pilate asked jesus, what is truth?

  (john 18:37, 38) also, it seems especially apropos for our day as if ever there was a time that truth was needed, it is now.. for me, the following concepts help tremendously, as they are ways to classify and organize truth itself and helps us to realize when we are getting complacent in our thinking.

  it also helps emphasize just how little we know, streamlines our avenues of inquiry, and makes the very process of learning exciting.

  Dear Norm,

  To answer your questions, "no" I would not simply believe someone because they made outrageous claims.

  The things I spoke were the very things I heard him say (which is why they are in quotes).

  The 'claim' that was made is that he is the Truth and if you or anyone else want "truth" you must hear it from him.

  For those who need more than his words, he himself is reported to have said the same thing in every bible. thus, there is a 'basis' for that faith.

  Right now, people have the choice and the invitation to believe that he is the "truth." However, the hour is coming when all those in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, AND in the seas will openly confess that he is TRUTH. Every breathing thing will openly confess. This is only a matter of time.

  But for now, it is people's choice to either "come to him" and hear his "truth" or "keep doing what they are already doing." This is why the 'claim' seems "insane" to you now. You just haven't "seen" yet. But when you "see," then you will know what I was speaking of.

  My Lord wishes to respond to your 'question' regarding what he meant when he spoke of "the truth."

  He says to you:

  "I am the way, and THE TRUTH,and the life."

  "If you remain in my word and my sayings remain in you then in that day you will KNOW THE TRUTH and THE TRUTH will set you free."

  Hence, "if THE SON sets you free you will really be free."

  "I am the way, and THE TRUTH, and the life"

  "I myself have called out to mankind, and my voice is to the sons of men. Come! Listen, for in low tones my mouth utters "truth itself." Wickedness, the perverse mouth, and the deceptive tongue I HAVE HATED. All those loving "truth" hear my 'voice' For I am the "truth" that came down from heaven so that anyone may eat of me and not die."

  "I am the way, if anyone wants to 'see' or 'hear' anything "spiritual" they must come to ME first, so that I bring them into that which is spiritual."

  "I am the "truth," if anyone wants to know the actual "truth" I myself am IT. If you KNOW me, you know truth, for I am TRUTH."

  "I am the life, if anyone wants to live, they must come to me, for I came down from heaven so that anyone that eats of me will not die but live for ever.   "Let the one who has ears, hear what the HOLY SPIRIT says,"

  can any of you remember where about's the scripture is that says that there's 2 types of christians (it destroys the wt belief that there was only anointed in the 1st century ad).

  i know its somewhere in one of paul's letters.

  The 'scapegoat' arrangement.....

  You are correct....

  "not all "goats" are viewed as "unblemished"!

  The account doesn't say "goats" it says "kids" or "young goats." Such ones had to be the 'choiciest' of the ones born in order to be used. No physical defect or infimities could be present. Thus, it could be viewed as 'unblemished' and acceptable to be used to 'atone' for sin.

  The kids' spirits were willing to "give their life" in behalf of their 'brothers' Israel. Goats that have grown, however, are very stubborn and "want to do their own thing," thus having a 'defect' within them.
