hi everyone, someone just made me notice that the pdf document on the u.n. website proving that the watchtower associated itself as ngo from 1991(demand) to 2001 has been deleted or is missing.
http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/pdfs/watchtower.pdf i sent an email (very short since they don't allow more than 200 characters) to the un to inquire.
i doubt that they'll respond.i suspect that the watchtower pressured the un to deleted that link.....
This is frustrating because JW family members simply deny anything printed, or even saved in the hard drive, assuming it's a fabricated apostate document.
When it was a direct link from the UN, it was much more credible. There is enough evidence, but it's never enough for hardcore JWs.

This is really a bummer.
i`ve recieved an email from one of the dearest people i know,here on jwn... shelby had major surgery at the end of february..she is just getting her strength back... this thread is for her... leave a message..say a prayer..send good vibes... it all helps when a person is recovering... thanks... .

i am writing this letter to let you know tonight my cat died.
now i know in the grand scheme of things this is not a big deal.
I'm really sorry about your father in law and your cat.
It wasn't God but the Watchtower who led your father in law and many others into a false hope, about us never dying because the end was coming.
so a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.

And Jesus is supposed to have chosen them as his representative and channel 2 years after that. ..right.
the thought that a loving creator would violently destroy anyone not belonging to the jehovah's witness religion including billions of babies seemed just not right.. the fact that you could recieve some "acceptable" blood components but could not donate those same lifesaving yourself seemed strange.
you could recieve a blood fraction but you couldn't give it.. any others you can think of?

Well it'd be much better if the information is available in the UN official website. I know from experience that JW family members have major issues trusting apostate websites or any info just saved and printed out. So I really hope UN posts it again in their site.
i used to post here a lot a few years ago.
this forum helped me out of the organisation with my husband and 3 boys.. we are now all more or less out and very happy.. me my husband and my youngest left almost instantly we realised the lie.
my middle son gave us a little grief at first and then left when he understood what were were saying.
That's great strawberry! I'm so happy for you and your family, your studies, and everything wonderful that's been going on in your life post-watchtower.
I wish there were more of these success stories from ex-JWs.
