WTS Running Out of Money? Letter to all congregations...

a few days ago my wife commented on a letter sent out to all congregations (in the u.s.a.?

) regarding donations.

se said it was long and boaring, but in the end there where a few points she remembered.

This is no different then when the wts lost the case in France, they did net tell the R&F to give money, but stated that If every dubber gave 20$ or what ever the figure was that it would pay for the fine against them, I am sure they hoped all the years of mind control kicked in and the money flowed.

The thing is I know form being inside that the dubbs are the cheapest people on earth, they have a bad reputation with all the hotels and restaurants when the assembly's are there, that they do not tip or if they do they tip very badly.

And from the donations I have seen come in, from the past, when I was a part of the cult, they were not over generous.

This I think comes from years of telling the R&F to just get a job shoveling potato's, well when you don't have a good job you can not just give big to the master cult. They are reaping what they have sewn.

And the us is the money behind the society.

The usa has been the one financing the third world kingdumb halls.

And from what I have heard the money is slowly drying up.

Well if hovea is real he can surly print a few franklins for the ol pitiful and disreputable slave.

Were YOU Depressed When You Were A Witness?

i've seen soooo many witnesses taking meds or alcohol because of unhappiness and depression.

i know of one woman who regularly gos to her shrink and is the most depressed person that i know of.

personally, i believe it's because a jw can never do enough to satisfy god or the elders....what do you think?

I have seen the same types of things, and more, I have seen MS and elders doing things that back in the day [20 years ago] you would be booted out on your ear for. I was visiting a person who is still in the borg, and she gets a call from one of my relatives who is big in the hall, He is a m.s. He calls from Las Vegas, to the elders wife I am talking to, she answers and says don't bother me go gamble. I mean in the day you did not even give the impression of walking into a casino for a cheap dinner or you were out your position.

I have seen the education thing tossed by the R&F into the trash heap. My wife's niece just graduated and it was open knowledge that she is going to college, The dubbers seem to have the attitude that they are sick of toeing the line, and will call themselves dubbers but do what they want also.

I must know of at least 5 different dubbs on Prozac or some anti dep. and the marriages are splitting faster than I can count, You ever thought when the dubbs had a divorce rate less than the national average it was due to hovas help and clean living, now that they are divorcing at or more than the national rate, Satan is working overtime to break up marriages? tails I win heads you loose.

what will happen when all those older witnesses fall sick and eventually die?

i know so many in the congregation in their mid 70's and older.

many of these older ones are pillars in the congregation.. i was just wondering what effect it will have 5 to 10 years from now, when all these older ones will be too sick to attend meetings or dead.

I know some here may disagree but I feel no sympathy for some one who has the same ability to figure out that it is all bullshit as I do. I figured it out and made a retirement for myself. I have posted before that I have an ante and uncle who have no home and my uncle died with nothing, my ante has no home and lives on 400 a month ss, in the basement of youngest daughters FHA small home, Rosedna Babcock, from wolverine Michigan. She still hangs on to "the end is like a pencil and we are at the tip. These people did not think for themselves, I for one am not sympathetic to those who drink the cool aid. the children yes, they can not think for them selves yet. but after that when a person has the mind to make their own decisions, No This is not a case of some one trying and just missing the target, He along with my ante and uncle hit the target they aimed for.

Do I feel sorry for them, not one bit, My wife's mother and father are ageing, and have only ss to live on. when the time comes, will I help, HELL NO. I am not bitter, but when I was busting my ass till 3 in the am working putting in floorcovering, and getting flack for having and IRA and savings account. I will not help, or feel pity for someone that has stabbed themselves in the neck and then says DON'T YOU FEEL SORRY FOR ME? No I do not. My pity goes to those of Katrina and the like that did not do anything to bring on their plight. I had a witness named kunde, he would leave me at job sites to finish the job on meeting nights, then complain when I got an extra 500 at the end of the week. I have seen to mucn arregance from these people to feel anything but dickens style of pity, ARE THERE NO PRISONS ARE THERE NO WORK HOUSES?

The last tug of trained fear.

i was wondering if anyone here could remember their last tug of fear in their stomach after they left the watchtower society, concerning armageddon coming where you may have had a moments regret or fear of not being a jw, and so you wouldnt be "saved".

you know, the stupid conditioning we as jw children received growing up as jw kids.

i realize this may seem like kind of a weird question, but i remember my moment, and going through that experience it was very a freeing feeling once i came through it on the other end.. i was visiting a church in about the 1984 time frame.

It is not a weird question at all, for those of us who were in the cult, we had or have to get past the brain washing,

I can remember buying antiques and not sleeping at night for a couple of nights thinking "I wonder is this one is deamonized?"But then slowly I started to look at the big picture, Then history helped me a lot. I thought about how silly it would be if every time something happend in the world on a big scale, that I started to feel that the end of the world was near.

My wife went to the beach yesterday to visit her sister, she had not seen her in a year and she came up for a graduation party for their neice. their mother came with them, and my wife said she had a bunch of the dubber crap with her, I asked her if she had noticed that when dubbers get old and things do not turn out like they planed, that they grasp on even harder to the cult teachings?

I mean this, donna lost her mother last year, and at 65 had never cut the apron strings, he father died several years ago.

I have an ante that her and my uncle would sit in the living room and hold on to the danial book and pour over it like they would find some speck of gold that they did not find the first several times reading it.

I have seen this so many times, and it is pathetic, at the graduation party my wife said mr. kruski was talking about how he could not retire and he is in his late 50s, I am seeing so many dubbers that were so confident that the end was near now so unhappy with the life they have that all they have to look forward to is the end of the world.

I used to get joy from this in the that I mean an I told you so way, but now I dont want to watch.

i am pregnant with my first child and my mom is visiting me for a few days.

I would tell them what I told my wife's parents, if they can keep their mouth shut about what they believe they can be around, if not all I can promise is that I will slam their religion every time they spew there crap.

This is what makes me so pissed off about JWs they can spit out all kinds of crap they believe but you should just sit in silence if you disagree, Fu&& them, what is good for the goose is good for the JW, btw my wife's parents don't come around. what a blessing for this atheist. btw, that crap about your mom reading to your unborn is wierd even for a dubber. Society goes nuts--yet another "special" campaign for September!

in an earlier post here http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/114651/1.ashx i noted the society's "special campaign" for september, an "awake" magazine dedicated to the topic of evolution vs. creation.

there is a "special campaign" to highlight that magazine all month.. got a call from our po last night.

there is going to be yet another "special campaign" in september -- a new "kingdom news" tract.

Witnesses cannot refute the real "TRUTH"

no matter what any pompass ass witness says about the religion being the "truth", they cannot refute the simple fact that nothing they have ever predicted has come true.

that's a pretty poor record for gods' chosen people.

oh sure they can point to lame obvious things such as " critical times getting harder to deal with" (even that is debatable), but no hard facts to point to that show they are right, or have ever been.

as far as I understand it, the dubbs never predicted ww1, what was foretold by russel was the beginning of the end of the world by Armageddon, and after ww1 started in 1914 Russell stated that the world war was the beginning of great tribulation that would end in Armageddon. To me it is like saying tomorrow a plane is going to crash and when a boat sinks you say, by uri Gellar I got it right.
