Does the WTBTS still control your life?

do you follow the arrangement dictated by the governing body of jw's regarding df'd and da'd individuals?

do you shun the jw's like you are expected to by wt leaders or do you speak to jw's and greet them with a smile even if they shun you when you do so?

in complying with wtbts rules of acceptable behavior for da'd or df'd persons do you think that you are showing unconditional love to your neighbor?

some say they have not control over me, but you need to ask yourself, and I am guilty of the same thing, do they cause me to do any thing, even if it is against them?

Is this not some type of control or is it just action causing reaction.

I still find myself lowering my cigar when passing a dubber, then think wait I don't talk to them, I don't associate with them, and don't want to. so why do I give a shit if they see me with a cigar?

I guess it is that I don't want them to feel like "WE GOT HIM" Like I have eluded the Posey.

But unless you move from where you are known, they will always have control over your reaction. or maybe a better way to put it would be that they have a certain amount of ability to cause a reaction, I.E you want to or do give them the middle finger when you go by the hall on Sunday.

I don't to this to the catholic church.

Elder Criticizes Going To Get Together If A Worldly Person Is There!

my mom told me that an elder said in his public talk on sunday that we need to stay separate from the "world".

evidently, the buzz is that there was a part being given by an unbelieving husband that has been recently attending meetings with his wife.

the issue was not that this man invited most of the congregation and they went (including the elder and his family) but that one fellow unbelieving husband who is being studied with did not get invited because he was "worldly and still smokes".

This Month's KM: Family Calendar?

as many of you might have noticed, the may 2005 km has a group of 4 or 5 articles about scheduling family activities.

it includes a blank week long calendar and little slips that you can cut out and paste onto the calendar.

i think this is another crazy, last ditch effort to try and grab the remaining witnesses into the protective brood of the gb.

Its all about control, if you do not have time to sit and think, you cant wonder why they have never been right on anything they have preached, all you have time to do is to slam food then dress and rush off to the hall, and when done you can think how good you feel when you leave [hova giving you a refreshing feeling for going?] hell no if you know it or not you are just glad to get the hell out of the piss hole

What was your most humiliating point of being a jw?

mine was when my mom signed me up to sit at a table at our local university.

we had to sit there and talk to students as they passed by our table.

a few people came up to start a conversation and i didn't even know what they were talking about.

Just remember GOD is only pretend you have the freedom to walk out any time you want, all you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and walk away to a real life.

Leave the dubbers even if family leaves you, you only live once and it is a short once, so dont waste another second fooling with shit heads,

Do you miss feeling that "Jehovah" was listening to prayers?

this is hard to explain, but i will try.

the other day, my neice was put in the hospital for test , after having two seizures, she is 20 and has never had any medical problems at all.

i now know, that by doing that it seemed to take the burden of helplessness off of my shoulders.

you have to give up your individuality, You just need to keep telling yourself that to give up freedom for a false safety net is not worth the trade, I think it was Ben Franklin that said those that give up freedom for safety deserve neither, good words to live by those old white guys that gave us so much.

being born and bred into the borg i always felt it was the "truth" but i wasn't the one who measured up i was not good enough to be a dub.

but i also had nagging questions that went unanswered by the most learned elders...or at least not answered to my satisfaction.

their "answers" were in fact not really answers but side-steps or attempts to mis-direct my question into an area they could answer.. an example...it always bothered me that we could not examine the contents of what opposers put out.

Rod, I have asked this question since the late 70's, I put a little different spin on it , my question was if we are just [and I use the societies analogy,] like a fan with our soul the electricity when the electricity is gone the fan stops, then when we die we are gone, and when we are resurrected, we are nothing more than stepford wives, it is not us, It may be a good copy, a perfect copy, but a copy nonthe less.

If there is nothing that goes on, that makes us unique, then we are just computers with arms that have certain programs, and god is just a big computer geek that when we burn up, he gets a new model and programs it with our memories. but it is not us. not the us that was, just a copy.

I could never get an answer to this, and it was a question that bothered me, so god is telling us [according to the dubdom] that if we give up our lives now, we can have our memories put into another mackintosh? Some how that does not make me feel comfortable.
