"Dropping In" at the local coffee shop on Saturday mornings
by Cinciguy74 ini have to admit, i have made it a bit of a habit in the last few weeks to find myself in the local starbucks right about the time that i know the service groups will be stopping for a "quick" break, which usually goes on for about 30 minutes.. as i am not da or df, i make a note to say good morning to them and show them how nice and relaxed i am sitting, slowly enjoying my coffee.
i even make a point to invite them to sit down with me, knowing that it will eat up a bit more of their time.
never a "theocratic" discussion, only about local happenings usually, talking about workouts (i am normally in gym clothes since i was either at the gym or going to the gym after coffee), or just discussing plans for the weekend.

Crisis of Confidence...GB vs. Legal/Support
by Momma-Tossed-Me inthere is a division of confidence amoung the above two bodies.. the gb feels it has no need to worry since they have god's spirit.. the legal/support departments see the writing on the wall or the reality inwhich we live.. someone has to balance this between the two parties inorder to maintain the stability of the wtbts.. it appears at this time the support staff is winning by using the facts concerning the lack of liquidity that the org is experiencing now.. at some point the staff will have to deliver the bad news to the gb that they can no longer cover up the loss of adherents.. hopefully some time soon.. mtm.

The legal, accounts, business offices of Wat. Corp absolutely need the GB and they know it. The GB is the link between the Corporation and the hearts, minds, and most important the POCKETS of the publishers. It's the belief that the GB is in touch with what Jeh wants and requires that makes the whole religion work. If it was legal that decided a change in blood policy was needed, (fractions) it would have to come from the GB. When accountants say to cut the cost of printing it has to appear it was a GB decision, and so it goes. The publishers don't have to think, it's from the GB so it has to be so, aren't we thankful for their direction. Because GB has no new spiritual instruction they harp on dress, education, association,.... giving the appearance they are caring for the flock. If ever the publishers knew who really controlled Wat Corp it would all unravel real fast. Just my opinion.

Glander, Monte Walsh was a good one. That movie reminded me of Tom Horn with Steve McQueen.

After much thought and meditation, I would have to say my favorite western movie is SHANE. I like a lot all of the western movies that Robert Duval was in. Tom Selleck played a good cowboy and another good sci fi western was Purgutory. A lot of stars, odd story, good acting, if you haven't seen it it's worth renting or buying (cheap) from Amazon.

I'm a outdoorsman, but I need a really, really good reason to camp. Can't think of a good enough reason right now. Don't want to be far from a shower and flush toilet. When the Isrealites were sent camping for 40 years it was a PUNISHMENT

Billy the ex....... I think I have to disagree. I think it's because they have financial planners, economists, and educated people on board they are making changes, closing branches, selling property.........
Also, I might add, I doubt the GB are even much involve in this. We know it's the lawyers, accountants and business office that runs Wat. Corp.

Another possible reason for smaller mags. . .
by breakfast of champions ini was thinking this as i was reading through a foreign language wt yesterday afternoon.
the wt needs so many translators to translate their crap into 200 or whatever languages.
can you imagine the mental gymnastics these people need to do in order to translate stuff like the "generation" teaching into another language?

I'll try again. Don't believe anything about being able to translate more. I think 95% more or less of the Wat. is just all rehashed already translated same old stuff.
