It gets very little interest on this forum. I find it strange that alot people who have escaped religous deception are completely shut off to,at least, the probability of it.

Why do we have to 'prove' anything to God. (This point made at assembly today)

the point was made at the assembly today, that we have to 'prove' our love for jehovah to him.

as i sat there, bored, this thought struck me as odd.

since jehovah is supposed to be able to read 'hearts', why do we as humans, have to prove anything to him, since he already knows us down to our kidneys and would know if we loved him or not.

I also particularly enjoyed the part where the C.O. talked about how Jesus called out the pharisees on their misleading the people with their opinions and traditions and how our worship should be free from the opinions of men.

What was the name of the WT's special printing machine?

i remember on my visit to the bethel, one of the stops was this machine that allowed rapid production of layout in different languages.

they were very proud of it, i guess it was invented by a poor volunteer there and it was enough of a breakthrough that they claimed that international companies were looking to buy or license the technology for millions.. the guide was very proud to say that they were keeping the technology and not sharing.

Wasnt that special assembly day a while ago focused around a new amazing printing press the society acquired? Only a few congregations were invited for some reason. My wife dragged me out and the assembly hall was packed so we were all crammed in the lunch room listening on the speakers to the video about how this new printing technology was truly guided by jehovah. Ive spent better saturdays hungover, lying next to the shitter.
