  Toronto's August gathering

  once again people were either to tired or to ummm preoccupied to post after the gathering today.. it was a great event for me since i saw an old friend from 7 years ago..another former bethelite who left the org before me.

  we were good friends at bethel and it was great to re-aquaint ourselves as free persons!!!.

  got a chance to get to know others much better.

  It was a great event for me since I saw an old friend from 7 years ago..another former bethelite who left the Org before me. We were good friends at Bethel and it was great to re-aquaint ourselves as free persons!!!

  Got a chance to get to know others much better. My inmpression of HadEnough has gone up about 18 notches. What a phenomenal lady!! Though we still didn't manage to get her up on the table to dance. sigh .... maybe September....

  ExpatBrit ... what can I say ... Hope that stain came out of your pants...I still didn't get a straight answer from you what that stain on your ass was from...... Though one of the female posters enjoyed regularly looking to figure it out...you know who you are!!!!

  Peter...thanks for organising yet another successful event. I am really looking forward to the September event. Considering there were only two females for all us guys....we could sure use more estrogen at our next event.....

  Had a blast yet again.

  Another Victory!

  there's thread posted by esmarelda about a child custady case.check it out and you'll know what i'm talking about.. anyway the reason essie posted is because we got terrible news about a case we've been following and trying to help out with.. the mother lost custody.

  all the father had to do is agree not to shun the mother or teach the children to do the same.

  it was a crushing blow!the children were to be picked up tonight.. well, we have good news!.

  It is a victory yes!!

  I am thrilled the children are able to be with their mother for the weekend. Unfortuantely it is not over.

  Anyone facing this situation has to start laying the groundwork for more appeals and Society interference.

  The non-JW parent has to show themselves to be tolerant, accomodating and balanced. This flies in the face of the JW parent. The Society has not apparently been involved in this yet since the husband was soooo intolerant and dumb in his responses.

  I send the mom a note privately in this regard. Should anyone else ever be involved in such a case please consider the above suggestion. I am also available to those need direction about how to counter-act the Society's legal dept.

  to make it easier for the out of towners (especially the ones driving in from the us), how does everyone feel about having our next get together on a saturday...say saturday, august 18th, starting at 4pm?

  (i'll be working on the 11th and the 25th...).

  HELP Needed in custody case!

  i received a letter last night (as many of you did) about a particular.

  custody battle being fought by a poster on this board.. she just found out that she lost custody of her 3 children to her jw ex, despite the fact that they are in danger of being exposed to a pedophile relative through this man.. i am asking anyone who may know anything about setting up a legal defense fund (or anyone who knows about utah custudy law/ lawyers in utah) to please respond to this post.

  time is of the essence, the girls have already gone back to their father today.

  It is sounding pretty good for the 15th. Since we have out-of-towners coming in on Friday ...shall we do a pre-fest fest on Friday night?

  If any your transportation arrangements fall trhough for any reason I live 10 minutes away from the Airport. Just let me know.

  the reason for this is simple: that mistake may cost you a lot of money!

  Not an expert on Norway in any fashion.

  But I assumed the Country believed in Human Rights and as a member country of the United Nations are bound under International Law regarding discrimination.

  Actual application of said legislation in Norway - added by edit is unknown to me.

  For someone with so much head knowledge, you sure can be dumb sometimes.

  Knowing that I, his superior (but not his boss), is an exJW doesn't exactly make him behave better. He'll have to improve very soon to avoid getting the sack. His replacement, in case, will not be a JW if I have any say.

  Any enterprising JW could apply for the position. When they don't get it they simply take your post quoted above to a workplace discrimination lawyer. They would make enough to pioneer for a couple years from that settlement!

  To all readers: Even if you feel this way, never be so stupid as to put in in writing and sign your name to it.

  Seriously tho Jan, to save yourself some potential problems you might want to edit your post. If you do edit it, I will also remove the quote above. Let me know.

  I have repeatedly stated that the WTBS is a highly controlling sect. We are in agreement on that.

  My problem with some ex-jw's is their using the same methods as the WTBS while at the same time condemning them for the same. That my friend makes one a HYPOCRITE.
