AlanF, and other "tree falling makes a sound" realist
by jst2laws inhttp://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/73007/3.ashx
you seemed to agree with my objection that sound is a matter of perception of energy waves, and that it is only our perception that makes it "sound".
but then you went on to say we should "avoid useless definitions that really tell us nothing", and then said "it's existence is independent of whether anyone or anything receives "a particular auditory impression".

I have missed you all. (Well, not all)
by LDH ini'm just stopping in to say hi and give you a whirlwind catch up on everything that's been going on.
i've missed talking to a lot of you but time hasn't been kind, and i've wanted to spend my downtime with the kids.. everything is going swimmingly!
we just bought a new, bigger house which is a heck of a lot closer to the high school.

by Celtic ini'm nuts, what a wally, bonkers, screw loose, raving twatass.. so ruddy knackered, just now, i was hallacinating as i was driving along, colours coming off things, when colours were not there at all, the road going one way and my mind telling me it was going the opposite way.. just picked up a boat, 200 mile plus round trip, took me ruddy 6 and a half hours, tis now sitting on top of my estate car, couldn't resist the bargain, 50 quid for a 12' + fibreglass dinghy.
soon as i get it on the water, i'll take a lot more photos for all of you.
right now, i needddddd sleeppppppppp.. the cross eyed celty

I really don't think you are bonkers, but you could, no doubt, be a royal pain in the ass. But that's ok, all Brits are a little strange.
Right now, I needddddd sleeppppppppp
That is your problem, sleep deprivation can cause a person to hallucinate. Just think, some people used to take LSD so they could see strange things, you got it for nothing. Bug

During my time in the Air Force I had to march in one off base parade which wasn't too bad as the temp was around 80 degrees, but it seemed a lot hotter. I've been to Washington in the summer and it is hot and muggy. Wearing a dress uniform would add to the misery index. Bug

Bet you're glad you are not marching down the streets of Washington in your dress uniform, in the heat and high humidity. I really felt empathy for those guys. Bug

It's About INVENTORY, Stupid!
by Farkel inin 1940, former zone servant harvey h. fink wrote that the wts was "set up by presumptous men whose interest in spite of their pretenses to the contray, is primarily selling books for revenue.." and that the wts demanded that books containing outdated doctrine would still "be sold to the people very definitely, because it wanted to get the revenue out of them in spite of the errors it willing admitted they contained.
strong words, indeed.
is the wts so currupt and greedy that they would knowlingly make their membership buy and sell books that contained admitted false prophecies and outdated doctrines?

That horrid book! With the little red paperback question book to go along with!
I can remember sitting on a folding metal chair and trying to balance a Bible, the book and the question book on my lap, a skill I never quite mastered. Just trying to do all of that took most of whatever intelligince I had and then we were supposed to understand the stupid book ? Bug

Sex Is Banned During Euro 2004.
by Englishman ini just heard a big debate on bbc radio 2 concerning the french soccer team.. apparently, they're banned from having any sex during the time that they remain as contestants in the euro 2004 competition.. how embarrasing for them.
one thing is for sure though.
when england play france next sunday, no way will the england supporters engage in any mocking chants.

How do you keep from burning out?
by doodle-v ini try not to dwell on this too much, and for the most part im in pretty good spirits.
at times though i feel like i can't catch up.
whatever it is that i'm doing whether it's laundry, and house chores, yard work, kids, office work (my job is pretty demanding and nearly every week i have to drive back to the office and work to meet deadlines and work weekends).. don't get me wrong, life is good ,its just i wish at times i could have a maid and a nanny.

Perhaps you can do something I could never do, Make time for yourself and time for you and hubby and let all that other stuff slide off your shoulders. When you are at work concentrate on the work as you wouldn't have the job if you didn't need it.
I solved my problems in this area by retiring, but obviously you are a bit young at this time. Meanwhile relax with Texas flowers.

PS, come to the next Dallas Apostafest. If we can't relax you you're beyond help
