  there has been much public interest in our beliefs lately, so we have prepared a very brief summary of our core beliefs in a new pamphlet which you may offer to interested persons.

  hopefully, this pamphlet will generate enough interest with honest-hearted people and enable you to start many new bible studies.

  Certainly there are other zany things you could add? You must be a slave at Bethel if you are in the organization. Because The Bible supports slavery etc.

  my eldest son (40) and his jw mom (in here 60,s) can not have a. decent conversation before he storm off in anger.

  all famlies have their problems, we are no different.

  Adultery, Forgiveness & Divorce-----WATCHTOWER STYLE

  i wonder how many have been affected by the watchtower's interpretation of these things.

  i know of many many jws that "live together" only because they are married to each other.

  these people almost hate each other, but would never leave their marriages and get an "unscriptural" divorce.....i know of wives that "forgave" their husbands "unknowingly".

  It affected me too...My first wife and I were having problems. We started living with a MAN room mate. After a month I moved out and back to Atlanta. She refused to leave. So I told the Elders that she is LIVING with another man. She stayed there a year with this guy but since we both rented from him they said it's not enough to get a scriptural divorce...

  Did your wardrobe of clothes change when you left the JW'S

  mine did and i have not put a suit on since escaping the cult.

  the mrs has given all but 1 away to the charity shops and i have loads more room in me wardrobe now.

  what items of clothing did you get rid of when you got out of the cult ?

  Yeah suits aren't evil....I love wearing them from time to time. I pull that whole Tom Cruise look from Risky Business. The dark business jacket with jeans and white tennis shoes. I am dead sexay!

  I JUST happened to be looking at this forum...Yeah, I know it's wrestling action figures but hey...I am weird like that...Anyway what caught my eye is HOW ALL of these people VIEWED a generation! Did they view it as overlapping? No. Actually they view it as every 10 years is a generation.

  i was going to post a 'welcome' message for all the new people who may have got a computer for christmas and are making their first forray into the online world.. of course, not many jws are going to be getting a computer or much else for christmas right?.

  kinda-strange for me to forget about such a big thing like that eh?!

  it's pretty good though to have moved on so that the jw indoctrinated mindset isn't the first thing that springs to mind.. hope you're all having a great christmas and wherever you are in the recovery process that you feel a little bit better today than you did yesterday, more free and relaxed than you did last year and looking forward to your new life in 2011.. there's going to be lots of changes coming for this site hopefully in the next week or so and probably continuing over the next year.

  Hey Noni! I am REALLY wanting to move away from ole Mexico here. Would you recommend Ohio? I am looking to buy a house. Is it cheap to live there etc.? Mucho cold?
