Survey: Who here is an atheist? Who here still believes in God?
by Christ Alone ini just wanted to take a survey.
let's not let this get into the same old same old debate of atheism vs belief.
just respond with "atheist" or "believer" or "maybe god exists".

What one thing would you say...
by problemaddict inwhile i am still kind of new on my journey here, and may have a mixed bag of similarties and differences with all of you, i am in fact fading away from the religion of my youth.
in doing so, i have mostly been left alone.
meaning, my friends and family generally know i am "having a hard time" with a few things.

umm i think the watchtower has the whole thing twisted from the start . i am a christain but i am not going to say i have all the answers. however i do believe what the bible says and at rev its jesus was the lamb slain from the founding of the world and god being all powerful knew before creations start what adam would do. like i said the wt says that god did not know adam would sin or he choses not to know, they use an illustartion about recording a sporting event, stupid if god is all knowing than hes all knowing. why is its gods will for things to have happened im not really sure.

If the Borg has the Truth what are they worried about?
by Sour Grapes injw's will of course argue that they have the truth.. if that be the case, why are they terrified to talk to.
people or visit sights that expose their beliefs?.
if someone speaks the truth there should be nothing.

Quick question, did you feel lonely at the meetings even though you were part of the action?
by Theocratic Sedition injust curious, something i've noticed only lately.
i'm in the mix within the congregation, stay late after the meeting is over, converse with quite a few people afterwards, make plans for saturday and sometimes sunday service and yet i feel so awfully alone walking to my car afterwards.
i feel lonely when i'm talking and laughing with people after the meeting.

How to help a friend who has left the truth!!1
by caswinchester ini was after any advice or suggestions about how to support a friend who was born and raised in the truth, my friend is now 22 and has tried to fade out but his parents are having a hard time accepting this, don't get me wrong i understand why they are, but the stress and pressure he is under is taking it's toll on him.. i have tried to be there for him as i use to study with the jehovah witness's some years ago but i don't think i can or will ever truly understand what it's like to be born into a family of jehovah witness, i understand why his parents are shunning him and they only talk to him when they think they have come up with away to get him to go back to truth.. .
i would like to hear any real life exsperances and how you where there and helped a friend deal with leavign the truth and accepting that your family will most likely never going to talk to you again.. .
